This is a public safety video on how ignoring safe handling procedures for heavy duty riffs can result in a hazardous environment.
During a Trashed rehearsal on the 8th of November 2025 to prepare for their headline show at The Croft, Bristol on December 6th, proper precautions had not been taken to prevent disaster. While performing their song ‘I’ll Stay Away’, bassist Oscar hadn’t realised he had forgotten to properly restrain the shoulder strap of his bass. When the songs industrial strength main riff kicked in, disaster struck.
This video shows what can happen when safe handling procedures for riffs of this magnitude are not followed. A narrow escape for all three band members involved. The situation was handled with grace by guitarist Jimmy. Mike still has not been able to return to drumming since.
