Want to support Trans Sask and look cool doing so ? Buy a T-shirt (or two!). All proceeds will go directly to TransSask (https://www.transsask.ca/), a non-profit resource network that advocates for trans-identified, Two-Spirit, genderqueer, intersex, and gender-nonconforming individuals. Each T-shirt costs $35 (tax included). This fabulous shirt was designed with love by local Saskatoon queer artist, Jaymie Raefta (they/them, @bigsofty ). Shirts can be picked up in person at the University of Saskatchewan campus (Health Sciences Building) or the Regina Hospital. If you cannot make it in person, we will ship to you for a rate of $15, with an additional $5 per shirt (shipping for 1 shirt is $15, shipping for two is $20, etc.). Deadline to order is April 31. Once orders close, T-shirts will take a few weeks to print. We will contact you when your order is ready for pick up. If you need your order shipped, this will take us extra time. Please bear with us! We’re a small team. Order here: https://forms.gle/s6pW1dw5y7W29adf6 (link is in our bio) This fundraiser is brought to you by students in the College of Medicine at USask, with support from the Division of Social Accountability.

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) was started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. The vigil commemorated all the transgender people lost to violence since Rita Hester’s death, and began an important tradition that has become the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance.
