Maligayang Pandaigdigang Araw ng Trans Visibility! ✨ Ilang tagpo mula sa nakaraang kaarawan ng Trans Midya at Dolls & Dedications, isang retrospektib sa proseso ng pagdidisenyo nina @sheslucidreaming at @inco.kid . Sa usapin ng pagkilala sa katauhang trans, kanino ang mga matang tumitingin at para saan ang pagtakda kung nakikita ba o hindi? LUCIDOLL is a digital wardrobe and archival project by Luci Bernard (@sheslucidreaming ). Celebrating her love in dressing up, as well as the love she has received from being gifted clothes, this project is as much an attempt at immortalizing her story as it is her take on a modern Y8 game. Being a collection of sentimental pieces, LUCIDOLL is an attempt at honoring the life she has made and the loved ones that supports her. Looking back at how LUCIDOLL and Luci herself came to be, DOLLS & DEDICATIONS is a retrospective of her identity, a showcase of her project’s process, as well as a conversation in the relationship of expression and visibility. Dedications 1 is an upcoming body of work dedicated to Gab’s (@inco.kid ) relationships with the self and with others through metallic symbolisms. It marks the beginning of his lifetime dedications to life, love, and death; passion, pursuit, and practice. This workshop is a small effort to give back to the people in our lives whom we deeply appreciate. Through any art form, participants are invited to create a piece that expresses gratitude for those who have made them feel truly seen, visible, and authentic. Feel free to bring your own art materials if you prefer. Trans Midya will also provide basic supplies such as paper and coloring materials. Let's welcome Gab (@inco.kid ), one of our featured artists for 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐒 & 𝐃𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 💕 Gab Santos (he/him) is a Makati-based visual artist, illustrator, and graphic designer. He currently works as a visual artist for a design studio, serves as an Assistant Art Director for a waterpark, and freelances as a graphic designer. He is also a Multimedia Arts student specializing in Graphic Design at Mapúa University. His practice spans traditional and digital illustration, character design, and graphic design, driven by curiosity and a desire to translate ideas and experiences into visual form. In 2025, Gab collaborated with Dr. Nathaniel von Einsiedel on the book “55 Things I Should’ve Learned in Urban Planning School” and launched INCO, his personal art brand, as a celebration of playful creativity and artistic rediscovery. Meet Luci (@sheslucidreaming ) one of our featured artists for 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐒 & 𝐃𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 💕 Luci Bernard (she/they) is a visual creative and aspiring content creator. She strives to mix her interests in illustration, graphic design, and video production to create curated experiences. She is a De La Salle University Communication Arts graduate who is now traversing adulthood, finding the balance between work, life, and the pursuit of artistic creation. Her projects are reflections of her journey, often playing with themes of personal and societal identities. Currently working on her dress up website "LUCIDOLL," Luci exhibits herself as a muse to showcase the relationship between who she is, what she wears, and how the world perceives her to be. To everyone who has been a part of Trans Midya’s first year, a heartfelt thank you! Each and every one of you (from facilitators, volunteers, partners, participants, audiences, friends, family, and loved ones) has contributed greatly to the growth of this humble space—by trans people, for trans people! One that started as a concept for a short documentary film in 2024; made as a trial creation of a documentary theater piece; officially launched as a workshop series this year; then a workshop-performance staging, and now an independent creative platform for Filipino trans artists. We appreciate everyone who has witnessed these passionate transformations~ Like every space that strives to be safe and brave, we do not claim to be perfect in it. Every space still has its own inevitable risks, therefore must always be equipped to be accommodating and accountable. And that is what we hope to harness in the coming year, with grace and integrity! We hope to reach more trans siblings and be a creative space for expressing their truths. Many thanks to everyone who joined us last November 21, 2025 for our post-TDOR gathering, Trans Remembrance: On Poetry & Personal Conversation with teacher, poet, and mother—Memory Prudenciado (@maka_dagat ). We were reminded that the very act of remembering as trans people is our resistance and activism in a world that keeps erasing and invisibilizes us. That’s why we should keep writing about our lived experiences so we can be remembered through our poetic lives. This was our last offering for the year and will be back soon for more offerings in the future! Trans Midya will continue to be an alternative platform in equipping the trans being of personhood through creative gatherings such as workshops, talks, and performances by and for the Filipino trans community. Gracing us with pink skies and seaside, meet our guest speaker for 💜 TRANS REMEMBRANCE: On Poetry & Personal Memory 💜 Memory Prudenciado is a trans, queer poet from the island of Tagapul-an, Samar. Transgressor, her first poetry collection, “Made of Saltwater,” was published in 2022 under Balangay. Memory is also a folklorist and explores many forms of her ancestral culture/heritage and spirituality; hence her poetry, more than often, is laced with elements of local superstitions, myths, folklore, and religious revivals/folk Catholicism. She is also a public teacher and teaches in her hometown. Ultimately, she is a mother. Join us in an online space to honor our grief and solidarity after Trans Day of Remembrance through a personal conversation with Memory Prudenciado (@maka_dagat ). 🩵 When: November 21 (Friday), 3-5PM 🩷 Where: Online via Google Meet 🤍 This event is "pay what you love!"
