500 weddings photographed. 🤍
Yesterday I photographed my 500th wedding — a milestone that feels pretty surreal to say out loud.
I photographed my first wedding back in 2015, and if you had told that version of me that a decade later I’d still be here, still documenting love stories, and that I’d reach five hundred weddings… I’m not sure I would’ve believed you.
More than that, I never thought I’d be able to make a career from something I genuinely love doing. The fact that this is my life and my work is something I don’t take for granted for a second.
This milestone exists entirely because of the couples who continue to entrust me with documenting one of the most emotionally charged days of their lives. That trust — to be present for the big moments and the quiet in-between ones — means everything to me.
Across these 500 weddings I’ve witnessed so much more than just ceremonies and receptions. Quiet hand squeezes before walking down the aisle, deep breaths before the ceremony begins, parents trying to hold it together during speeches, emotional vows, wild dance floors, nature putting on phenomenal skies as a backdrop for golden-hour portraits, and all the little in-between moments that make each day uniquely theirs.
The best part of what I do, though, is witnessing relationships. Not just between the couple getting married, but between the people who make up their world — parents, siblings, lifelong friends and chosen family. Watching those connections unfold throughout the day and documenting those interactions is an indescribable experience.
It’s also what makes every wedding completely unique. Even when I’m returning to the same venues week in and week out, each day feels different because of the people there to celebrate. The relationships, the personalities, the emotion in the room — that’s what makes every wedding its own story.
To every couple who has invited me into their story so far — thank you. Truly.
Here’s to all the love stories still to come. 🤍
