After a long delay our guest of last month finally arrived safely, and most soundly on AAJA radio ✨ Our good friend Transki is a legend of the modern Trance Underground, and a fiercely independent artist to boot. Here is an expression that does not confine itself to fads and fashions, but, instead, rallies to a sense of an eclecticism of the individual: all in the name of a Trance that harkens back to its original inception in the 90’s - in the truest sense, then, since it seems that it never left; that the hypnosis remained: changed and yet the same. And this is exactly what both this mix of his and his label (Mystic Research) boldly portrays. As I see it: the mysticism of what once was: the inherent nostalgia that lies at the heart of Trance’s melodicism. A past that perhaps never was is brought to the forefront of the musically invested mind - and, in that sense, is just as fresh, invigorating and playful as the reminiscence of childhood where all was fantasy; where everything was exactly as it should be because it had not fully ‘been’. In other words: the innocence of the first moment’s honesty becomes the ‘moment of trance’ and allows us to stay there - yet but for a moment. And we are here for it with Transki’s addition to our AAJA show! Thank you so much Transki: for the many lovely moments on the dance floor that we shared with your expression, and your wonderfully amiable support of all our musical endeavours. We hope to see you soon! For our part of the show: indebraendt cooked up a deep concoction of dark techno cuts straight out of the Mariana trenches: where the hypnosis brings forth dormant energies and secretive stirrings layered in perceptions of both the soul and the corporal. Fucckkk no – Vienna-based DJ and Producer @transki00 doesn’t bend his sound for fame and he sure as hell won’t chase algorithm-driven trends. “I can’t stand it when people try to flatten every subculture and niche into one,” he says. Staying true to his vision, Transki breaks away from the mainstream with a spiritual path mix of goa trance, progressive trance, Detroit electro-techno and dubstep, all deeply rooted in raw ‘90s aesthetics.
