⚠️ We’re launching Streets for People: Transit Alliance’s campaign to build twenty mobility improvements across Miami-Dade County, one neighborhood at a time! Now we want to hear from you 👀 What are the gaps on the streets you use every day? Missing sidewalks? Unsafe bike lanes? inconsistent trolley service? These small fixes can make a big difference in our quality of life in Miami-Dade. 📩 DM us or send a video to [email protected] showing us what’s not working in your neighborhood by July 1st. #StreetsforPeople #Miami #publictransit #infrastructure #advocacy

What’s not working in your neighborhood? A missing crosswalk? A bus stop with no shade? A bike lane that goes nowhere and ends randomly? We want to fix it. ⚠️ Transit Alliance is launching Streets for People, our campaign to build 20 mobility improvements across Miami-Dade County, and we want your idea to be one of them. Send us a short video showing us the problem and telling us how fixing it would connect your community. DM us or email it to [email protected] by July 1. Everyone deserves better ways to get around. Let’s start with your street!! ✨ #streetsforpeople #mobility #miamitransit #publictransit

👋 We’re excited to see so many fresh faces joining our community. Let’s reintroduce ourselves! Transit Alliance is a non-profit dedicated to transforming Miami-Dade County through better mobility. We champion walkable streets, bikeable neighborhoods, and improved public transit. Why? Because good transportation connects us all. It’s how we get to work, see friends and family, and enjoy our beautiful city. ☀️🏙 🚆🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Ready to be part of the movement? 🔗 Sign our “It Takes Transit” pledge in bio and help shape Miami’s future. Together, we can build a more connected, resilient, and vibrant city for all. #TransitAlliance #BetterMobilityMiami #MiamiDadeTransit #PublicTransportation #miami

What a night!! To everyone who showed up at last night’s Transit Nerd Night, thank you for proving, once again, that Miami is ready for a city built for people, not cars. We want to give a massive thanks to our speakers: Noel Gonzalez on starting a bike bus in car-centric Miami, Enrique Rosel on reaching across the city to collaborate, and Isabel Brador on where the sidewalk ends. You all killed it with such insightful presentations and great discussion starters! A special thanks to @urbanexevents Events for opening their doors so generously, and to @786nutrition Little Havana for keeping us hydrated. 🧡 And to the small groups who helped us map our route for the 24-Hour Transit Triathlon on May 21, your input is already shaping where we’re headed. See you out there next week!! Stay tuned for the map coming soon 👀 🚌 🚲 🚶 #TransitNerdNight #TransitTriathlon #MiamiTransit #PublicTransit

We’re back on Miami’s streets for another 24 continuous hours on transit!! On Thursday, May 21st at 6pm, we’re kicking off our second annual 24-Hour Transit Triathlon. For 24 hours straight, we’re walking, biking, and riding transit across the County. Along the way, we’re learning from riders and neighbors about the gaps in their neighborhoods that, if fixed, could make a real difference in their quality of life. Fixed sidewalks? Sheltered stops? A bike lane? We want to know! We want you to be a part of this experience! ✨ Join Transit Nerd Night on May 14th in Little Havana to help design a walking route 📍 Meet us at a pit stop in your neighborhood (more on this soon) 🧡 Donate to keep this work going 📱 Follow along on our socials to keep updated on the shenanigans Tag someone who’s tired of sitting in Miami traffic 🚗🚙🚐 #TransitAlliance #TransitTriathlon #MiamiTraffic #PublicTransit #Cycling

Still buzzing from yesterday’s Bike and Roll to School Day with Springview Elementary! 🚲✨ Joining this #bikebus ride was a lovely reminder of the joy, community, and mood boost that comes with cycling. What better way to start your school day than riding to school together, picking up friends along the way? And not to mention… much better than sitting in traffic all morning! Makes you miss the old school days 😌📚✏️ It doesn’t take much to start a bike bus at your child’s school. Let us know if you want to make it happen at yours! #cycling #bikeandrolltoschoolday #miamicycling #miami

Many of us need to commute in the wee hours of the morning, or as the sun sets in the evening. But being a ninja cyclist doesn't do you any favors for safety. While reflectors are mandated by the @uscpsc , the jury is out whether they provide a false sense of security, encouraging some to ride at night without lights. (There is a @nihgov study that found that improved *street lighting* can reduce crashes by 60% - link in bio). Regardless, here's what you need to know to keep you lit up and visible in low light for #NationalBikeMonth and beyond. Rechargeable LED bike lights are miles ahead of any older tech, and even affordable ones perform pretty good. *See* you out there. #BikeMonth
