The ‘W(earth)’ stage was a collaboration with @andampersand.be for Transit Festival 2023.
The concept of ‘W(earth)’ lies in the idea of buying a piece of land, depriving it of its original location and repositioning it in a new context. ‘W(earth)’ challenges traditional notions of value by giving the land a new use and abandoning its original function. This intervention prompts the viewer to re-evaluate their preconceived notions of value. By valueing the formal simplicity of land, W(earth) provides a profound commentary on the subjective nature of value. These earthy sculptures defined the spaces within the larger surroundings and evolved through the day into functional dancing platforms.

After last year’s interconnected structure, Transit goes back to its roots on June 20, with 27 artists spread across 4 spaces. Expect some fresh faces & some old friends, the rave yard re-imagined and a whole new version of the inevitable box.
