as my time as a RED artist in residence comes to a close, i invite you to join me for two open workshops this coming weekend, 13+14 December, 2025. yes, with free childcare!
the first is a moxa circle, where you can come and practice or learn how to apply moxibustion heat therapy for yourself or a partner, and incorporate this skill into your medicine cabinet at home.
the second is an open conversation on how kink, bdsm, and east asian medicine can inform and embrace each other.
see upcoming stories for more info.

I've been thinking a lot about the Neijing Tu, the Taoist inner landscape. The explanation of the inside of our body as a microcosm, reflecting the world around us as well as the universe far beyond.
Whenever I feel body shame, when I bemoan the effects of gravity and time on my frame, when emotions feel blocked or parts feel stuck, I go back to this image. It reminds me that I am part of something much bigger.
(ID: a black and white poster of the Taoist map of the inside of the human body, with the Hanzii 圖経內 or "inner landscape" across the top, taped with green and blue washi tape to a white shelf)
found this at school the other day 🔥
I agree. moxa is better for so many things! it's also been around much longer than acupuncture needles.
was this you @matan_azaty ?
yesterday we celebrated the solstice with dragon spine moxa @shou_zhong with @rike_nicht_verfuegbar and glasrion
the longest (yangiest?) day of the year is the perfect day to bring the yang into the body and store it up for the winter.
