Just wanted to catch up after two years off social media.
1) Made it onto the 8a ticker for about five minutes.
2) We’re building a cabin. It’s going to be sick.
3) I got my wood done by August 31st this year. Helped a lot with #1.
4) I still have a cute dog.
Had a great day in the Sweetwater at the new zone. We put up several quality lines on this first bloc, a mega classic V2, and a good V4 and V6. The other photos are of a project in the V8-9 range we dubbed “Velvet Hammer.” I’ll have to wait for a weather window to finish this one. Many more things to try out there.
Successful day at the Sweetwater. Found more good looking blocs than I have ever seen out there before. Some rock is really similar to Glass Factory, some reminds me of Rock Shop. I really want to go back mid week if there are any takers.
Starting to get back into the swing of things. Photo 1- New crag dog at Miner’s delight. Photo 2- New routes at the Boudoir (left side of the Roan wall). Photo 3- New fire at the Devils kitchen. You can zoom in to see a helicopter dropping water on the upper Boulder field. The routes looked like they were okay, not so sure about the boulders.
My splint is off. I have a lot of scar tissue that is annoying but very little pain. Hoping to start climbing some easier routes next week. Hit me up if you need a belayer and your project has some good elevens nearby.
So our new dog is a muppet. We should’ve named her Alice, after Emmet otter’s mom. Maybe one of the less well known muppets, to be sure, but one of my favorites.
