Going into pregnancy I thought I’d eventually start feeling weaker the further along I got While working out is now more difficult across the board, I actually feel like I’m stronger Not based on how much weight I’m lifting or the type of workouts that I’m doing, but the simple fact that I’m in my third trimester still doing “the thing” despite the body I’ve always known feeling foreign, being the heaviest I’ve ever been, having aches and pains, and overall discomfort Proud of me, and proud of Bean 👶🏽 In the final 12 week (+/-) stretch. Let’s keep it going 🤞🏾 #austintx #dallastexas #fitpregnancy #firsttimemom #sahm #thirdtrimester

I’ve been quietly building something for the last few months that feels aligned with who I am now, both as a coach and as a mom ✨ It’s called Built For Motherhood ✨ And it’s for women in early motherhood who: 👉🏾Were active before kids 👉🏾Want a clear plan & coaching that fits this season of motherhood 👉🏾Want a proven system instead of guessing at what to do This isn’t a bounce-back program It’s a rebuild Inside Built For Motherhood, you’ll: ✔️ Train efficiently without long gym sessions ✔️ Have predictable routines around meals + movement ✔️ See the scale move without extremes ✔️ Stop overthinking food and workouts or worry about affecting milk supply ✔️ Know exactly what “enough” looks like for this season ✔️ Invest in something that actually produces results ✔️ Let go of the idea that motherhood = self-sacrifice 🔑 The goal isn’t just weight loss, it’s about becoming someone who knows how to take care of herself as a mom ❗️I still have spots open for this round beginning Feb.9th If this feels like you, I’d genuinely love to work with you Comment BUILT or DM me and I’ll send you the details 🤍 - #austintx #postpartum #postpartumsupport #sahm #fitmom

I think it’s weird that being exhausted, weak, out of shape, constantly in pain, and lacking energy as parents to young, wild, and active children in the second half of your life gets normalized Won’t be me 🤷🏾‍♀️

If you’re focused on strengthening your core and pelvic floor postpartum, don’t neglect training your ADDUCTORS! 💬Comment “core” below & I’ll send you the daily core routines I did to help heal my ab separation, no email needed 👉🏾Your adductors (inner thigh) are directly connected to your pelvic floor and deep core Which means training and strengthening them improves pelvic floor function, creates more core stability, supports diastasis recovery, and generally builds a stronger foundation for returning to running + lifting postpartum Including adductor exercises in your training should be a staple in your postpartum return to fitness 👉🏾If you need help with where to start in your postpartum recovery journey, DM me this post and let’s chat - #austintx #postpartumfitness #fitmom #adductors

Two things typically happen to breastfeeding women that they’re surprised about: 1️⃣ The weight “flew off” 2️⃣ They didn’t lose any weight like they thought they would It’s not magic or luck that determines whether breastfeeding weight loss happens or not ✨ It really comes down to a calorie deficit 👉🏾 Most women burn an extra 300–500 calories per day from breastfeeding That alone can create a pretty standard deficit You might have moments where you’re super hungry and eating more, but overall, a lot of women end up consuming fewer calories than they think while also burning more than they realize from breastfeeding…which creates a deficit = weight loss. Now add in second-time (or more) moms who have a toddler or older kids to chase around. More movement, more output while also navigating newborn life then yeah, it’s actually pretty simple 🫣 Now, whether you should be in a deficit during your breastfeeding journey is a different convo If you feel well fueled, your milk supply is solid, and you just so happen to be in a deficit, I love that for you But if you’re intentionally undereating, skipping meals, or just forgetting to eat because life is chaotic and that’s what’s creating the deficit, that’s probably not the move. Especially in the first 3–4 months So Can breastfeeding lead to postpartum weight loss? If you understand the basics of energy in vs. energy out…absolutely *Should it be used as a weight loss strategy? It depends But if you’ve been confused about why it worked (or didn’t) for you, now you have your answer

✨Getting my fitness back postpartum was simple, but not easy. Simple because the process didn’t change as I’ve spent years building the tools, knowledge, and experience to reach my goals. 👉🏾Hard because I had to rebuild my systems inside the constantly changing reality of motherhood so I could show up consistently Because once you become a mom, “just doing it” isn’t a strategy anymore & it’s no longer just about balancing work and a social life & if we’re being honest, it’s laughable thinking about how much time I used to have to dedicate to fitness pre-motherhood. Because now it takes intention, planning, flexibility, and sometimes just hoping the day/baby cooperates enough to make it happen ‼️ I had the advantage of knowing exactly what to do and trusting the process, even in the chaos. Most moms don’t (not your fault) and it’s why so many end up feeling stuck in a body they don’t recognize or feel good in years after having a baby 🏆 This is exactly what I help solve I help moms get fit in a way that’s flexible, realistic, and actually works for their lifestyle I have 1:1 coaching spots open for May. Postpartum and trying to feel good in a body you aren’t familiar with is tough You want to appreciate and give grace to a body that did so much for you and your baby while constantly battling new insecurities and negative thoughts I’m proud of the mental, emotional, and physical progress I’ve made in 11 months I took my time & focused on what my body needed to properly recover > the aesthetics I wanted I didn’t skip meals, do extreme cardio, and prioritized rest over forcing workouts I’ve learned a lot about myself and have made some shifts to how I personally view and think about fitness, food, and health as a Mom to a little girl & lastly, I enjoyed the process. There’s truly beauty in the struggle and nothing feels better than stacking wins working towards a goal while navigating a new and busy season of life - #austintx #sahm #postpartumfitness #ftm #postpartum

👣 You struggle hitting your steps because you walk too slow ‼️ But, your first mistake is thinking you HAVE to hit 10k steps per day 10k steps *could be a good goal to reach, but if you’re currently only averaging 4-5k steps or less per day, adding an additional 2k on a consistent basis will bring you a long way If you’re an average height person walking a brisk 19-20 min pace per mile, you’re usually hitting about 1k steps every 10 mins So to hit that additional 2k steps for the day, that’s only another 20 mins of walking. I promise you have 20 mins of extra time throughout your day for more steps at a 20 min per mile pace—you’re just not thinking about it that way ✨Start with where you’re at, build consistency aiming for a number slightly higher than your starting point, and walk faster because *walking counts as exercise*
