I adapted this recipe from @hummingbirdhigh to make it a little bit more macro friendly. I tweaked the recipe to bring calories down without compromising taste! My changes included:โฃ

2๏ธโฃ used a mini muffin pan vs traditional muffin pan to get 10 muffins vs her 4โฃ

- 1 egg โฃ
- 57 grams unsweetened applesauceโฃ
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extractโฃ
- 2 oz reduced fat milk *๐ค๐ข๐ฏ ๐ด๐ถ๐ฃ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ข๐ญ๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฏ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๐ฌโฃ

1. In a small ball whisk together the flour, salt and baking powderโฃ
2. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk & vanilla extract. Then add the egg, applesauce and sugarโฃ
3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combinedโฃ
4. Add 1/2 tsp of additional flour to the blueberries and mix so they are coated evenly. Crush 1/2 of the blueberries to get them mushy and juicy, add to the batter. Add the remaining blueberries and stir until combinedโฃ
5. Let the batter rest covered for 1 hourโฃ
6. Spray mini muffin tins with canola oil spray and fill 3/4 of the way. Add 1/4 tsp of granulated sugar to the top of each muffin. You should get 8-10 mini muffins.โฃ
7. Bake 22-25 minutes at 400F, let the muffins fully cool before removing from the trayโฃ

35 today and for some reason this birthday freaked me out more than others. It felt like a big milestone and I had moments where I questioned if I was where I "should" be at this age. 2๏ธโฃ He drastically increased his walking. Walking is one of the best forms of low intensity cardio. As you get further along in the fat loss period, your NEAT levels decline aka you move less. Walking is an easier and less taxing way to add movement compared to HITT or other forms of cardio.โฃ

3๏ธโฃ He incorporated more meal structure which led to less overall snacking. High snacking typically stems from lack of meal structure and not eating enough nutrient dense foods. โฃ
