The greatest lesson Iโ€™ve learned has been patience. The greatest gift Iโ€™ve received is gaining you as my life partner and husband. My end, my beginning, my sweet darling Dez. โฃ โฃ Our souls go back lifetimes and there was indeed an invisible string tying us together. With lives that almost collided in NY but were destined to meet in Los Angeles. โฃ โฃ Waiting for you and learning lessons along the way allowed me to not only receive and embrace you in addition to love you deeply and maturely. โฃ โฃ So often I thought my time wouldnโ€™t come to only be rewarded with the greatest love that exceeded my dreams.โฃ โฃ There is no ideal life timing Iโ€™ve learned through you. Marrying you just before my 37th birthday has taken away any timeline I ever had. Thereโ€™s no rush for anything worth having in this lifetime. โฃ โฃ 03.08.2025 is our beautiful day. My latest baking obsession are these macro friendly blueberry muffins ๐Ÿซ โฃ โฃ MACROS PER MUFFIN: 120 calories / <1g fat / 26g carb / 3g proteinโฃ โฃ Baking has always been my favorite hobby whether I feel happy or stressed, it always lifts my spirits. Itโ€™s also my favorite way to show love for friends and family ๐Ÿฅฐโฃ โฃ I adapted this recipe from @hummingbirdhigh to make it a little bit more macro friendly. I tweaked the recipe to bring calories down without compromising taste! My changes included:โฃ โฃ 1๏ธโƒฃ swapped butter for unsweetened apple sauceโฃ โฃ 2๏ธโƒฃ used a mini muffin pan vs traditional muffin pan to get 10 muffins vs her 4โฃ โฃ 3๏ธโƒฃ used reduced fat milk instead of whole milk. I also made a batch with oat milk, both turned out greatโฃ โฃ ๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—–๐—œ๐—ฃ๐—˜โฃ โฃ Dry Ingredientsโฃ - 185 grams blueberries *๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ ๐˜ง๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ป๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏโฃ - 160 grams all purpose flourโฃ - 100 grams sugar + 6 grams sugar for dusting *๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฉ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ถ๐˜ง๐˜ง๐˜ช๐˜ฏโฃ - 1 tsp baking powderโฃ - 1/4 tsp saltโฃ โฃ Wet Ingredients *๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ต ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ* โฃ - 1 egg โฃ - 57 grams unsweetened applesauceโฃ - 1/4 tsp vanilla extractโฃ - 2 oz reduced fat milk *๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ฏ ๐˜ด๐˜ถ๐˜ฃ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ฌโฃ โฃ 1. In a small ball whisk together the flour, salt and baking powderโฃ 2. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk & vanilla extract. Then add the egg, applesauce and sugarโฃ 3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combinedโฃ 4. Add 1/2 tsp of additional flour to the blueberries and mix so they are coated evenly. Crush 1/2 of the blueberries to get them mushy and juicy, add to the batter. Add the remaining blueberries and stir until combinedโฃ 5. Let the batter rest covered for 1 hourโฃ 6. Spray mini muffin tins with canola oil spray and fill 3/4 of the way. Add 1/4 tsp of granulated sugar to the top of each muffin. You should get 8-10 mini muffins.โฃ 7. Bake 22-25 minutes at 400F, let the muffins fully cool before removing from the trayโฃ โฃ Let me know if you make these yummy muffins ๐Ÿ˜‹

Iโ€™m so proud of everyone I worked with in 2023! Weight loss is not easy especially nowadays when there are many fast solutions. โฃ It really is a lifestyle change; nutrition, exercise, forming healthier habits and often times rewiring your brain ๐Ÿฅธโฃ โฃ It takes a lot of dedication, patience, time and trust, especially when you hire a coach. โฃ I get it, over the years Iโ€™ve had coaches too. You wonder if things are moving fast enough, if things are working etc.โฃ โฃ It makes me so proud and happy to see clients reach their goals and sometimes surpass them. Incredible progress from my training & nutrition client! In a 12 weeks period she has accomplished the following:โฃ โฃ 1๏ธโƒฃ Dropped 10lb and 14.5inches throughout her bodyโฃ โฃ 2๏ธโƒฃ She went from ZERO weightlifting to lifting 2 days weekโฃ focusing on full body workouts โฃ โฃ 3๏ธโƒฃ Learned moderation with snacking, alcohol and socializing through flexible dieting โฃ I really encourage everyone I work with to look past a 12 week period. 12 weeks is simply NOT enough time to work towards a goal and reach out. Zero step goal and cardio at this point. โฃ โฃ โœ… second, she gradually added steps. She went from 3,500 daily steps to just under 9k daily. LA is NOT a walking city so most clients need to phase steps in. โฃ โฃ โ—๏ธShe still has ZERO cardio aside from her walking goal. She will ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜บ get cardio to continue her fat loss phaseโ—๏ธโฃ โฃ This is a great reminder that you do not have to do everything at once! I do NOT suggest this for the majority of clients. It typically leads to feeling extremely overwhelmed and giving up before progress has been made. โฃ โฃ Focus on a slow and steady build with healthy habit formations. This will lead to YOU feeling successful and ready to take on the next challenge. So proud of your hard work!

35 today and for some reason this birthday freaked me out more than others. It felt like a big milestone and I had moments where I questioned if I was where I "should" be at this age. I've wondered if Iโ€™ve accomplished enough, did enough etc. Enough seems to be such a problematic word. It makes you feel like where you are isn't where you should be.โฃ โฃ But I'm here and if you asked me a few years ago, I didn't think I would be here because I was so deeply unhappy. So I'm happy to be here. I'm happy LA made me this woo woo person that strongly believes everything unfolds exactly how it should. โฃ โฃ The older I get the more I feel grateful for simple things. Snuggles with Sandy, going on a sunset walk and feeling a faint breeze, laughing at my own jokes, baking the perfect chocolate chip cookieโ€ฆ thatโ€™s it โค๏ธโฃ

Weight lifting is superior to cardio for weight loss, this will aid in building lean muscle as you lose body fat. I encourage clients to strength train 2-4x/week.โฃ โฃ 2๏ธโƒฃ He drastically increased his walking. Walking is one of the best forms of low intensity cardio. As you get further along in the fat loss period, your NEAT levels decline aka you move less. Walking is an easier and less taxing way to add movement compared to HITT or other forms of cardio.โฃ โฃ 3๏ธโƒฃ He incorporated more meal structure which led to less overall snacking. High snacking typically stems from lack of meal structure and not eating enough nutrient dense foods. โฃ โฃ Weight loss is always challenging but easier when you have a coach guiding you along the way.
