Sneak peak at whats to come in the gallery! Opening on May 30th, Sophie Farquhar and Roxanne Lillis come together in this exhibition, titled Sanctuary, to examine reduction, refinement and the quiet persistence of form. Through soft abstraction and restrained painterly gestures, the exhibition considers what is left behind when imagery is distilled to its most essential structures, when atmosphere, memory and sensation take precedence over representation. Please contact us now for the Sanctuary preview catalogue. Join us in the gallery from 4pm on Saturday, May 30th.

Our Untitled. 2026 exhibition is still on display in the gallery this week, with works from Meli Axford, Lee Coulthard, Tim Fry, Noni Ruker, and Katey Smoker. This diverse group of emerging artists whose practices span a wide spectrum of experience, subject matter, and material exploration, offer a timely insight into a new generation of voices, each approaching their work with distinct sensitivities, concerns, and visual languages. On view in the gallery until May 23.

Reversal by Lee Coulthard in the interior window of the gallery. "My paintings are information; it is compressed into each one. They are amalgamations of personal images, writings, and recordings transformed into text. They are autobiographical distortions, semi-abstract forms that present without the memory of what they represent. I initiate a process through writing and respond to outcomes using thought and feeling. My process is no different to the memory function of both humans and computers. I encode, store and retrieve data as information. I reverse-engineer textual elements and imagery into numerical colour-coded datasets, then paint with code to bring textural elements to life as colour. I invite interpretation and encourage viewers to engage with the underlying logic of the construction and the systems that produce the work." 101.5 x 101.5cm acrylic on canvas $ 3,200 Lee's works are on display in the gallery now.

The World I Want 2026 is now showing at @trafficjamgalleries in Darlinghurst - so pop in and see it if you get a chance. The World I Want shows a world where women and girls are safe, they have agency and they’re free to take up space. This is what my work is about. The figures are painted with realism and care because they exist and are perfect exactly as they are while the landscape is abstract because we don’t live in that world yet. These works are aspiring to that. #goldcoastliving #sydneylife #sydneyinteriors #meliaxfordpoolseries #femalegaze

Tim Fry's ceramic cassette sculptural works utilise nostalgia as a mechanism to contextualise a collective memory for a calmness found in decades gone by. Tim harnesses the power of music and art to heal our minds and positively contribute to mental health in a proactive way. The stories and human experiences communicated through music foster empathy and understanding and help us to feel connected to greater humanity through our common lived experiences. Tim's work is now on display in the gallery as apart of our Untitled. 2026 exhibition.

Opening tonight at 5pm! Untitled. 2026 brings together Meli Axford, Lee Coulthard, Tim Fry, Noni Ruker and Katey Smoker, with each offering distinct perspectives across material, subject, and approach. Presented as a considered selection of works from each artist, the exhibition captures a snapshot of where the artists' practices currently sit, with ideas in motion, shaped by personal concerns and broader cultural dialogues. Together, these works form a layered conversation, where differences in form and concept don’t compete but instead create a richer, more resonant whole. We wish to welcome you into the gallery from 5pm this evening to embrace conversation with Meli, Lee, Noni and Katey whilst enjoying this showcase of their practices. #sydneyartscene #australianartist #artgallerysydney #thingstodoinsydney #australianart
