My art residency in Kavala, Greece is coming to an end. Exploring story within landscape. What a life changing experience. The exhibition opens tonight.
It’s been a week of inspiration and art in Cape Town. Got to see the Brett Murray exhibition at the Norval foundation over the weekend. Unbelievable. If you can get there… And managed to get to some of the art exhibitions ahead of the Investec CT Art Fair opening tomorrow.
What a day it was at the SAFTA nominees lunch in Johannesburg. The sun shone very brightly as we all celebrated our nominations in the grandest and most opulent way.
The Concert Hall at the Artscape was filled to absolute capacity tonight for Finding the Light. The audience of 1500 raised the roof literally. It was absolutely magical. Stars from Broadway and West End brought their powerful voices & world class experience. But our SA singers more than held their own to bring us such a special evening of world class musical theatre - all this backed by the CT philharmonic orchestra Really get there if you love music and musicals - and the absolutely genius move is that Marc Lottering is the MC he’s a talent show all by himself.
The premier of the movie Cabrini. The incredible story of nun Mother Cabrini who wanted to change the world as she saw it. And did. Go watch it. 💙 #gravelroadafrica
Tying in with the release of our documentary during the 16 Days of Activism - the new edition of my book is available. It includes a post-script chapter of all that has happened since my story came out in book form 5 years ago. Thanks to my new publisher @karavanpress it’s available in all good book stores and also Takealot.
My first ballpoint pen drawing. Thank you to the Ruth Prowse School of Art for accepting me as a mature student on their fine art course last year. I am so appreciating the nurturing environment and the endless encouragement from the extremely talented artist lecturers. Cannot recommend this art school enough. #ruthprowseschoolofart
