🚨 Quick reminder for the outdoor adventurers: Check your cats for ticks!
Do not know how to remove them? Explore step-by-step in our carousel.
Ticks are opportunistic and look for spots where they won’t be brushed off or easily seen. The area directly underneath the tracker mount can be a prime real estate for them.
The routine:
- Check for ticks when you remove the tracker for charging
- Feel for bumps on the neck
- Check the tracker clip so no tiny ticks are clinging to the plastic
⚠️ Alert the neighborhood
If you spot a tick nest or a high-risk area, you can now report it under “Danger Reports” in the Tractive app. This alerts other pet parents in your area to stay vigilant! 🗺️📍

Fast forward to last summer.
My cat hadn’t come in. I opened the app. There was an alert - he’s out of the safe zone. Moving too fast.
I threw on my robe and went looking.
When I tell you that walking around a golf course at midnight in a ROBE to find my cat was stressful... and a bit embarrassing... I know from experience. 😅
Thanks to the light and sound feature, I found him easily. He was waiting by the path. BY A RIVER, MIND YOU. Completely dry. But not willing to walk back to the car.

So for three nights, Pudding slept downstairs. Alone. For the first time in years.
