@go.east.vintage for their first Forest Gate flea market down our Avenue Road Arches 🚉
They’ll be back down the station strip this Bank Holiday Sunday 11am-5pm & after serving up brunch biz we hand over the station kitchen to Manor Park chef
@casual_rice for another Vietnamese pop-up complete with DJs including our own Henry filmed here spinnin’ on our extended express ’til midnight 🚂
It’s E7 events like this that perfectly captures our vision of regenerating the area. As well as enhancing social integration & driving forward an inclusive economy, it’ll also bring longer-term prosperity & sustainable value to the local community 💚
Since securing
@newhamlondon funding last year to support our recovery & reorientation in navigating the post-pandemic landscape, the economic climate has changed dramatically with the cost of living crisis threatening our future in Forest Gate 🌳
We’ve weathered many storms & gone though so many arch adaptation sagas during the Covid era, but as a result of the following financial turbulence & unsustainable energy costs, we’re nearly at the end of the line ⚠️
As a last resort, we’ve launched a crowdfunding campaign to try raise £50,000 to save our station & safeguard our vision for our multifunctional marketplace. We’re eternally grateful of all the donations received so far by our Newham neighbours & have so far raised nearly a third of our target. As well as asking you our local lifeblood for support, we’ll also continue to explore & exhaust every grant opportunity to get over the line 🛤️
