@tracilords recorded her iconic album 1000 Fires in London during 1994. She collaborated with @junoreactorofficial and wrote the lyrics to Fallen Angel partially based on diary entries from her childhood. The album is so far her only full length release and the Paul Oakenfold remix of this song was featured on the soundtrack to the film Virtuosity in which Traci starred in with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. The footage to this video version is from the movie set.

Her memoir Underneath It All, topped the NYT bestseller list, and her techno album 1000 Fires landed on the Billboard Dance Chart and was featured on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack. Recently 1000 Fires was reissued on vinyl. Lords’ continues to break boundaries across film, television, and music.

With only days until the 30th anniversary of the release of the original @MKMovie in 1995, The Recording Academy takes a look back at my all time favorite thing about the 1st movie: the killer soundtrack! That soundtrack, and the More Kombat add on that was released in 1996, was a gateway drug for me into bands and sounds I otherwise wasn't familiar to in 1995. Bands like @LordsOfAcid aka The Immortals, @StabbingWestward , TypeONegativeOfficial, @GravityKillsSTL , the legendary @KMFDM_Official , & @FearFactory .
Tracks like Control (Juno Reactor Instrumental) by the QUEEN @TraciLords is STILL a legendary MK that makes us all think of Reptile & remember that battle he had vs Liu Kang!🦎🐉
