During Covid, I started painting on hides htat had imperfections, and it unexpectedly brought me back to my high school years – when I would constantly doodle in notebooks during class. Those drawings were mostly pattern-based and I used to call them “buildings.”
This weekend, I’ll be doing a trunk show at a wonderful shop called Saint Helens Leatherworks @sainthelensleather in Washington DC. As a special treat at the event, I’ll be doing offering to paint some of these on finished goods. If you’re nearby please pop in and say hello.
