🕊️🕊️🤍 On April 5, 2025, at the age of 75, Benjamin Mejia De Castro Jr. passed away surrounded by his beloved daughters and family members. He was born on August 19, 1949, in Mabolo Bacoor Philippines. There, he lived with his father, Benjamin De Castro Sr. his mother, Purificacion Mejia, and his 3 siblings, Reny De Castro, Romy De Castro and Alit De Castro. He moved to the United States of America in February 1977. It was here in the US where he met and married his love, Evangeline Pallera, until they decided to part ways after 20 years.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Angilet De Castro Garcia, Benelyn De Castro Wethers and Joy De Castro Ramos. Unfortunately, his eldest and only son, Mejime “Botchok” De Castro, passed away many years earlier.
He has 9 grandchildren: Mejime De Castro, Daryl De Castro, Mathew Garcia, Amanda Garcia, Jayvyn De Castro, Ethan De Castro, Willow Wethers, Riley Ramos, and Isaiah Ramos. He also has 3 great-grandchildren: Nami Shanania De Castro, Shawn Calil De Castro and Morpheus De Castro. To them, he was known as “Daddy,” “Lolo,” and “Grandpa.”
Benjamin lived his life with NO REGRETS. He was high-spirited, always cracked jokes, and never let anything stop him from only seeing the good things in his life. He was loved by many. His passion for life blessed him with many friends. Wherever he went, he always came away with more friends than he started with.
Regardless of the circumstances in his life, one thing was always ultimately clear: he loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. He put 100% of his heart to them. To him, his grandchildren were his most loved and priceless possessions. Until the very end, he lived his life for them.
He will be very missed. There is no amount of comfort that can explain our grief. Nevertheless, he left us saying, “Wag kayo mag alala, ako si Superman! At kung meron mangyari sa akin wala akong pinagsisisihan.” (Do not worry about me, I’m Superman! And if anything were to happen to me, I have no regrets.) 🤍🕊️🕊️
