🖤 Antonio Estrada - “Double Take, Singular Impact”
For Season 21 Episode 8’s “Love the Skin You’re In” challenge, Antonio delivers a look that unfolds like a revelation with two reveals.
His client beams with joy, wrapped in a design that balances sparkle and strength, softness and statement. The strapless black dress glimmers with confidence, while the draped coat adds mystery, movement, and protection. Two reveals. One unforgettable moment.
This marks Antonio’s first win of the season, a long-awaited triumph amongst his peers, who had already tasted victory. His joy is palpable, his design undeniable.
✨ A look that celebrates the wearer, not just the silhouette. Comfort, glamour, and the designer’s heart is on full display.
🖤 Veejay Floresca - Season 21, Episode 8 — “Love the Skin You’re In”
In a challenge that asks designers to create stylish, comfortable looks for clients with eczema—complete with a runway “reveal”, Veejay delivered a sharply tailored black leather ensemble that radiated confidence and edge.
With limited time and complex materials, her execution was impressive. But the look did not include a traditional reveal, sparking mixed reactions. Some felt the challenge brief was not fully met, others argued that a jacket is inherently removable, and the drama was already built into the silhouette.
Veejay’s design may not have unfolded on the runway, but it stood firm—cool, composed, and unapologetically her.
✨ A look that doesn’t beg for transformation. It arrives fully formed.
🖤 Ethan Mundt
Season 21, Episode 8 “Love the Skin You’re In”
For a challenge centered on designing stylish, comfortable looks for clients with eczema, Ethan turns the runway into a Rorschach test, bold ink-blot patterns tucked inside a sleek, structured silhouette.
The reveal is playful, unexpected, and deeply personal. Some viewers wished the patterns had been on the outside, but others saw the surprise as the point: a private joy made public, a hidden story suddenly shared.
Ethan’s design invites interpretation, just like the skin it was made to honor.
✨ A look that asks, what do you see when you look closer? Comfort in contrast. Beauty in the reveal.
Season 21 Episode 8
“Love the Skin You’re In” challenge is to design comfortable stylish looks for people with eczema.
🖤 Jesús Estrada - “Night Moves, No Apologies”
Jesús creates a look that walks with purpose and drapes with defiance. The white wrap top offers softness without surrender, while the black trailing fabric becomes a cloak of confidence, fluid, protective, and unapologetically dramatic. This is not just a going-out look, it’s a going-forward look. Designed for those whose skin has been a battleground, Jesús gives them armor that breathes, moves, and commands space.
✨ Elegance without irritation. Drama without discomfort. A night out that doesn’t ask the client to compromise.
🖤 Belania Daley - Season 21, Episode 8 — “Love the Skin You’re In”
Belania’s signature and aesthetic is bold with bright colors, joyful prints, expressive patterns. But for this challenge, designing stylish, eczema-friendly looks, she was paired with a client who firmly requested none of those things.
The result was a quiet tension. While her silver top and shorts drew critique, many viewers saw beauty in the playfulness and in the coat’s tailoring and grace, Belania’s designer look and light did not dim.
What happens when a designer’s colorful voice is asked to whisper instead of sing? Belania did her best to shine although in a muted style, that was meant as a look to “go out on the town.”
✨ Even in grayscale, Belania’s artistry held shape, her coat that carries care and beauty. This result and design moment deserve more understanding!
🧵✨ Project Runway tonight: “Out on the Town” with compassion stitched into every seam.
Designers are tasked with creating going-out looks for people with eczema, fabric sensitivities, or skin conditions—proof that fashion can be both fabulous and gentle. Think shimmer without itch, structure without strain, and silhouettes that honor every body’s story.
This isn’t just a challenge—it’s a reminder that style should never come at the cost of comfort. We’re watching with admiration as these designers reimagine what it means to feel good and look good.
Catch the episode at 9pm CT and let us know which look made you feel seen. 💖 #ProjectRunway #KindFashion #StyleWithCare
Best wishes to the remaining designers!
Wait! 🤠✨ Last week Western Chic rode into the workroom with fringe, vinyl, and a whole lot of risk. But when the dust settles… will anyone be eliminated?
Last week’s episode had bold choices and even bolder critiques. From glitter gowns to red fringe, the runway was a rodeo of reinvention. We’re watching closely to see if the judges lasso a look—or let the designers ride another round.
Did someone get saved? Did the “Siriano Save” make a comeback? We’re not spoiling, just wondering… 🤫
Let us know which look made you tip your hat last week and tonight, and which one had you clutching your pearls or sending up confetti with joy! #ProjectRunway #WesternChic #KindFashion #StyleWithSpurs
