Fortis Alberta is upgrading electricity meters in your area
➡Our current meters are nearing the end of their lifespan. To maintain safe, reliable service, we’re exchanging older meters with new ones. This work is being completed by qualified contractors, Olameter Inc. and Rodan Energy Solutions, under FortisAlberta’s oversight. All technicians follow FortisAlberta’s safety, security and quality standards.
What to expect:
- In the weeks leading up to your exchange, you will receive an automated phone call.
- On the day of the exchange, a technician will knock on your door, explain the process and confirm you’re ready for a brief power interruption (less than 10 minutes).
- Once the new meter is installed and power is restored, the technician will confirm it’s working. You may need to reset some electronic devices.
- If no one is home and the exchange can’t be completed, a notice will be left with instructions on how to schedule an exchange at a more convenient time.
âš Important:
There are no additional fees and no impact to your billing process or cycle.
Technicians will never request personal information or payment.
Questions? Visit fortisalberta.com/meterexchange or call 310-WIRE (9473).
Notification has been provided by ATCO that flaring operations are estimated to take place between May 6 to 8, 2026, outside of the Town of Tofield. Residents may notice the flaring operation taking place as this is part of testing along the transmission line.
Mental health isn’t just about what we’re dealing with individually — it’s also about how connected we feel to one another. This May 4–10, CMHA’s Mental Health Week is calling on all of us to Come Together, Canada.
Through small, everyday actions of connection, we can strengthen mental health, reduce loneliness, and build healthier communities.
Because connection strengthens mental health.
