We have recently received reports from other agencies of their residents being assaulted and robbed after withdrawing money from an ATM. We ask our residents to please use caution and be aware of their surroundings when using these machines.
If you see any suspicious activity while attempting to use an ATM, please contact the police department immediately.
Last year, the Town Of Fishkill Police Department conducted 897 traffic stops to encourage safe driving! 🚔
So far this year, we have conducted 418 traffic stops, most of which were conducted on Route 9, Route 52, Baxtertown/Osborne Hill Road, Merritt Boulevard, and Cary Road.
Let’s work to keep Fishkill safe together!
1. Drive safely 🚗
2. Stay off devices 🤳🏻
3. Wear your seatbelt 🚨
🚨SCAM ALERT🚨
We have had several residents inform us that they are receiving fake test messages from someone claiming to be NYS DMV. These messages are stating that toll payments are owed to NYS DMV, and they are providing a link for residents to put their sensitive information in to.
This is a scam! Please do not respond to these messages or click links that they provide. These individuals are looking for sensitive information, such as credit card information, bank information, social security numbers, and pedigree information.
If you receive one of these text messages, report the message on your IOS or Android application immediately. If you have concerns about your status with NYS DMV, contact them directly using the phone number provided on their secure website or in person. If you have input any of your sensitive information into any of these text messages, please make a report with the police department.
Let’s do out best to stay informed and keep each other safe from data phishers!
