February 2024- A month of friendship;
Since moving to LA over three years ago, now in my late 20s, my biggest regret is growing apart from my Midwestern friends. I used to blame the time zone, my busy schedule, and the fact that “I am an awful texter.” The truth is, I am the one to blame. I prioritized people and things that didn’t prioritize me, and as a result, my communication with friends and family suffered.
This year, I made a promise to myself to invest my time and energy into those friendships - the people who bring sunshine into my life.

January 2024 - Life lately has felt like a lot. My work responsibilities have increased tenfold, and it feels like I spend most of my time stressing over court appearances, trials, deadlines, and maintaining a continuously growing client caseload. To be honest, the last three months have left me feeling lonely, lethargic, and dull. Being vulnerable doesn’t come easy for me - I’m more of a head-down, keep-going kind of dude. But I know that on life’s dynamic journey towards happiness, I owe it to myself to be vulnerable, to heal, to say yes more, and to find beauty and joy even in the smallest things. Looking back on the memories and experiences of this past month, I am proud of myself for doing just that - for prioritizing people who prioritize me, for asking for help, for trying new hobbies, and for embracing who Towne is as an individual. So here’s to the past me, present me, and the future me on this journey of life and in 2024! Cheers!
