Weâre big believers that nature doesnât only live in dramatic faraway places. Sometimes itâs right here, in the reeds, on the water, overhead, waiting to be noticed. đŚâ¨
We celebrate nature and wildlife because it brings us back to ourselves. It invites us to slow down, pay attention, and remember that we share this world with so much life beyond our own busy routines.
Our birdwatching stroll in collaboration with
@teva was full of special little moments: spotting a grebe, a shoveler duck, a tufted duck, and geese galore out on the water; hearing the sweet songs of robins, wrens and great tits; and the loud hammering of a woodpecker hiding somewhere nearby. We huddled under a blossom tree to breathe in its sweetness, feeling a little birdlike ourselves. And towards the end, we stood by the reservoir banks, taking in the vastness of the water... peaceful, still, and beautiful.
It helped that everyone felt good moving through it all too. We were provided with footwear from the
@teva Hurricane collection for the walk, and they were an absolute dream â light, supportive, and so easy to move in. The Hurricane Trailsetter trainers were especially great for slipping on and heading straight out while still feeling really secure. They made us feel ready for anything the route had in store.
Part of the route was closed to protect the wildlife and habitat, so we had to detour. Of course we were curious to see more, but protecting the land and letting wildlife remain undisturbed matters more. The Wetlands are cared for by London Wildlife Trust, and their stewardship is a reminder that being in nature is not just about enjoyment â itâs also about care, respect, and giving back to the places that hold so much life.
For us, thatâs what itâs about. Community. Connection. Wonder. And the reminder that adventure can be much closer to home than we think.
