OMOGE IBADAN STORY : I feel Gele's dont suit me but my MIL's Birthday celebrations Church Thanksgiving required head covering so I had to redesign mine to include a chantily lace vibe headcovering extention from the lace to avoid getting bounced.
I also needed to respect the wine and blue ' Ipele Aso Oke' to match my Sisters in law and family aso-ebi so I switched it up along with the damask gele to make the exaggerated bow @totelondoner design gang😉
So somehow I fully complied with the family uniform without messing with my hair. WIN!

Last year at AFWL was honestly one of my favourite moments. Stepping onto the runway as the Cultural Face of Africa Fashion Week London 2025, representing cultural heritage in modern fashion and bringing Ojude Oba to a global stage with the regbe regbes and a collective of incredible faces from the festival was something I will never forget.
The whole experience was just as beautiful as the runway itself. The designers, the artists, the whole build-up to the runway, every bit of it was magical. AFWL just hits different when you understand what it represents for us.
Now a new season is here, Africa Fashion Week London is back in August 2026, and Ojude Oba prep has officially begun. I am so ready for what’s coming. The excitement is real and I can’t wait to see you all there!

Its 74-year old Philip Sallon #philipsallon whose fashion innovations as a BBC and entertainment royalty scene costume designer was super popular in the 70's and 80s and I dare say to date he still holds British iconic fashion status ..I had to go 'wikipedia' him but..yas he is a really electric character even more so in person. So much energy😅
Known to show up head to toe in @viviennewestwood , our fashion chit chat was a window into his larger than life personality and a new interesting fashion character on my rolodex...
