We’ve been Torus for eight years. Two partners who share design visions, an obsession for nailing the little details, and often our wardrobes! We thought it might be time to re-introduce ourselves: Who we are, what we do, and how our business came to be. Flip through for a bit about us, our work, and how we’ve established our business ethos. Design-led construction management where we’re involved from the dream of an idea to the moment they receive the keys. As we look toward the next eight years, we’re energized to keep raising the bar—creating extraordinary spaces and equally elevated client journeys. #interiordesign #aboutme #uestownhouse #greenwichcthome #ueshometour #greenwichcthometour #interiordesigner

Working from home looks different for everyone—which is exactly why we never approach these spaces the same way twice. In today’s mobile era, work can happen almost anywhere: The way we live and work has become far more flexible, and our homes need to support that shift. From a vintage desk in a city townhouse to a light-filled workspace in a coastal home, every family needs a space for quiet focus, creativity, and flexibility. Regardless of the setting, our goal is always the same: to create workspaces that function beautifully, feel personal, and integrate seamlessly into the way our clients live. #workfromhome #homeoffice #interiordesign #luxuryinteriors #designwithpurpose

The entryway is your home’s opening line—and we believe it should be a good one. It sets the tone, offering a glimpse of what’s to come. Our approach always begins with the architecture and the setting. A beach house in Nantucket should feel inherently different from an Upper East Side townhouse. We think about how you live, how you move through the space, and how that first impression unfolds. From there, the palette and materials take shape—layered with moments of personality and contrast. The result is an entry that feels considered. A first impression that feels right. #interiordesign #interiordecor #entrywaydesign #interiordesigners #luxuryinterior

We’ll go to great lengths to make our clients happy—always. But part of that commitment means knowing when to push back. The best projects come from trust, honesty, and a shared vision… not just saying yes. We’re hired to design, guide, and refine—We are not just filling a house with furniture. We manage all purchasing directly to keep the process smooth + organized. (no credit card juggling required). And when something doesn’t align, we’ll speak up. Because a great project is equal parts vision and execution. #interiordesigners #designperspective #nycinteriordesigner #fullservice #designprocess

Spring has finally sprung in New York City. It’s got everyone is dreaming of lazy days outside and warm dinners alfresco…and this Southampton project is the perfect spot for that. A study in airy spaces, easy outdoor entertaining, and an elevated, layered aesthetic that can also withstand a house full of kids. It’s one of our favorite proof points that a house can be equally gorgeous and kid-friendly! #southampton #beachhouse #southamptoninteriors #hamptonshome #hamptonsinteriors

Many clients are drawn to bold color, but hesitate when it’s time to commit. The secret? Start small. Darker, moodier shades can feel intimidating, but in a contained space—like this butler’s pantry in an Upper East Side townhouse—they create instant depth, drama, and impact. Dark colors don’t shrink a space. They transform it! #designerhowto #boldcolor #townhouse #nyctownhouse #uppereastside

One of our favorite projects to date is this 4-story limestone townhouse, located on the Upper East Side. Previously renovated by renowned architect Peter Pennoyer in 1996, we undertook a thoughtful renovation in 2021 - keeping the spirit of a historic New York City townhouse and updating with modern upgrades and timeless finishes. Our client appreciates pieces with history + provenance. Our previous projects with him meant we already had an existing collection with some standout pieces. So we sourced a wide range of vintage furniture, antique rugs + beautiful textiles to complement what he already loved. Working with vendors like @1stdibs and @incollect , we sourced from all over the globe for the right pieces. This project was a dream of an opportunity! @thebrightgroup @deuxfemmesdecorativeart @zakandfox @hollandandsherryinteriors @foxfabrics_nyc @roomonline @urbanelectricco @ralphlaurenhome @dmitriyco @brownjordan1945 @seasons_too #uestownhouse #vintage #ueshome #nyctownhouse #vintagehome

When we take on a project, we get to know the entire family extraordinarily well. And while we love designing all rooms, we have a real soft spot for the kids’ spaces.  Kids’ bedrooms and playspaces are designed with an eye towards durability + longevity, but with all the playful color and pattern.  Flip through for a few of our most beloved kids’ projects, from Southampton to the Upper East Side. #interiordesigners #nycinteriordesigner #greenwichdesigner #hamptonsinteriors #colorfulinteriors

Anatomy of a Room is where we unpack what actually goes into a space...beyond what you see at first glance. This Greenwich living room started with great bones. From there, it became about dialing-in contrast and making a formal living room feel like somewhere you’d actually want to sit. #anatomyofaroom #greenwichlivingroom #greenwichinteriordesigner #greenwichrealestate #blueroom

While we love designing lots of airy, light-filled spaces, we’re certainly not afraid of color. Flip through for some of our favorite color-forward projects. From Westport to Nantucket, bold wallpaper, textures, and layered materials fill these homes with personality.  We relied on accents from some beloved brands to really make the spaces shine: 1. People in the Water Wallpaper by @chasingpaper 2. De Nimes Paint by @farrowandball 3. Biami Wallpaper by @eskayel 4. @kellyventura Wallpaper by @templestudiony 5. Another fun-filled Torus week in the life! Showroom visits, a shopping day with a client, puppy snuggles, and more. Every week looks very different and that’s just what we love. #interiordesigner #nycinteriordesigner #nycinteriors #witl #nycwitl

Designing for a discerning repeat client comes with its own set of freedoms: when the assignment is “whatever excellent costs,” we reach for beautiful materials and enviable vintage pieces. For this apartment in Boston’s Pier 4 building, the architecture did a lot of the talking. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views of the Seaport, so our goal was to create a space that felt layered, warm, and quietly sophisticated. Some favorite details: custom Orange LA chairs with caning detail in the living room, upholstered hallway walls for added texture, and in the bedroom a custom wool headboard paired with a vintage dresser styled with a framed Hermès scarf and an Adnet leather lamp. A vintage safari chair adds a collected feel, while the dining room’s vintage bar setup is ready for a night of entertaining. #buyvintage #bostoninteriordesign #bostonhome #collectedvintage #vintagehome
