@redonevents BYU 2026 complete.
Just over a year ago @torraperformance was genuinely just an idea in my head and didn’t exist within the spaces we’ve been part of this weekend.
It was just something I knew could help people train harder, recover better and keep showing up consistently.
Fast forward 12 months and we’ve supported thousands of athletes across different disciplines, built our own endurance event and somehow ended up standing in the middle of an ultra surrounded by people connected to the brand in some capacity. That part has hit me hard today.
Seeing people who use the product, support the brand, follow the journey or have been around since the first day all attempting something with no fixed finish line felt pretty surreal and the “Beyond The Loop” series with @reecehopkins_ probably encapsulates that most.
From the start I agreed on one thing: support the goal at all costs. Whatever that looked like. No shortcuts, no pretending it would be easy, just full commitment to supporting him achieve what he’d set out to do, whilst documenting it all. I think that mindset is what Torra has become rooted in.
Just people willing to attack discomfort, uncertainty and long periods of work with no guarantee attached to it other than finding out what they’re capable of.
Finally, a special mention to @studiolane_photography & @harryfisherfilms who plugged away capturing the moments of every single hour of the event. No sleep for 24 hours, constant commitment to delivering the vision I had whilst also crewing throughout Reece’s time in the race.
An afternoon of fun for Reece as laps 5,6 and 7 are completed meaning the marathon distance has now been surpassed.
Into lap 8 and 50+km distance incoming.
The work is done.
The miles, the preparation, the early mornings, the repetitive days, it all leads to this weekend.
Over the past few months we’ve been documenting Torra athlete @reecehopkins_ _ through Beyond the Loop, a series centred around the preparation, mindset and discipline required to take on one of endurance sport’s most demanding events.
This weekend, the final chapter begins as Reece takes on The @redonevents Backyard Ultra.
An event with no fixed finish. One loop, every hour, until there is one person left.
Across the weekend we’ll be documenting the race in real time and sharing updates from Reece’s journey hourly via Instagram Stories, from the opening laps through to wherever the event leads.
If you’d like to follow the race as it unfolds, turn story notifications on and stay with us throughout the weekend.
The build ends here. Now we find out what remains.
