Federal agencies can purchase these intimate details of your life — your location, your finances, your associations — without ever appearing before a judge or getting a warrant.
The Surveillance Accountability Act closes this data-purchase loophole, mandates
warrants for accessing data, adds guardrails to biometric surveillance, and gives
Americans legal standing to enforce their rights.
Without this legislation, every American’s daily movements, financial activity, religious
practice, and political associations remain available for purchase by any federal agency — no warrant, no judge, no oversight. This invites abuse!
