What a first night of chasing on our Chase Expedition!! @weatherwarriormedia and I had several choices of targets today and we picked west- central Kansas to head to first and it totally paid off. We drove right up to a tornado- warned LP storm that was beautiful and was spitting lightning from where we were (it was dumping hail from the other side). We chased it down some fairly questionable dirt roads and before we knew it we were in the middle of a huge dust storm/ Haboob! I can say I’ve never gotten a Dust Storm Warning before! It came in waves and there were times we were dust blind! As we drove out Jason noticed the incredible structure we were leaving behind. We pulled over a couple more times as the sun set around it. It was so gorgeous to see! The colors changed quickly and the lightning kept spitting! Great way to start the trip! What else to come? Stay tuned to see! #girlswhochase #stormchaser #kswx #haboob #intothestorm

I’m still in awe of this experience and excited to see the Moon Joy that continues to be spread as the Astronauts give talks and share more of their captures and experience from their Lunar Fly By Mission. NASA just released their latest plans for Artemis III. From NASA: ‘The mission is planned to carry out a series of objectives designed to demonstrate critical systems needed for a future lunar landing. During the Artemis III mission, the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket will launch the Orion spacecraft from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida with four crew members. Instead of using the interim cryogenic propulsion stage as the upper stage of the rocket, NASA will use a “spacer,” a representation of the mass and overall dimensions of an upper stage but without propulsive capabilities. The spacer will maintain the same overall dimensions and interface connection points as the upper stage between the Orion stage adapter and launch vehicle stage adapter.‘ It should be an exciting time as we await the next launch- one step closer to getting people on the Moon again! The last picture is an Eagle nest that is located on the road leading in and out of Kennedy Space Station. It’s a hard picture to take as you’re driving past- but the employees all keep an eye on the nest. You can see the parent keep guard of the baby just below the nest. #nasa #nasaartemis #artemisii #artemis2 #natgeoyourshot

“Where Enchantment Dwells” - On June 7, 2025 the sky in Nara Visa, New Mexico opened like a revelation. A sculpted supercell towered over the horizon gilded by the fading fire of sunset. It was a cathedral of motion carved by light, shadow, and wind. A once in a century storm that imprinted on my heart. When I close my eyes, I can still see the earth awash in its radiance. Today was awesome at the @nwsnhc_hurricanes Hurricane Awareness Event at SRQ! We got to meet NOAA and Air Force Hurricane Hunters and tour Miss Piggy and the C130. We also spoke to several vendors and responders who shared some good educational material that will come in handy during season. It’s a good time to get your prep started- although the forecasts this year are looking lower than average - as we are in an El Niño year- as we saw last year - one Cat 5 can be devastating. I mixed in some of my own hurricane footage with my footage from the event today. #hurricaneseason #girlswhochase #hurricaneprep #hurricanestrong #hurricane

It’s been a rough go of it for me getting out there, with only limited opportunities. This is a view I haven’t gotten enough of this Spring, but now that we’re in May I can see the other end of this mid-season break and the heart of what will be my 2026 season. This shot was taken as I approached a soon to be tornado warned supercell near Stonewall, OK.

Did you know they are already prepping the Artemis III? On April 28th it is being transported into the Vehicle Assembly Building where it will be stacked - built- into the SLS called Artemis III. More history will be made in 2027 when it will be launched to try out new moon landers on the ISS. Stay tuned!! 🚀Michoud Video courtesy of NASA 🚀VAB footage is mine from NASA Social (so grateful) #nasa #nasaartemis #artemisii #rocketlaunch womeninstem

Photographing a haboob birthed by a supercell is pure adrenaline. Outflow slams into the earth and drags the landscape up with it. It’s the brutal exhale of a storm, and an unrelenting wall of chaos eating miles in minutes. You either stay ahead of it or disappear into it. Captured near Garden City, Texas in May 2025. A storm chaser. A government dismantling climate science and transgender rights. A documentary that can’t wait (because funding applications are taking their sweet time giving us notifications!) ‘Something in the Air’ feature documentary that follows Raychel Sanner across Tornado Alley and we need your help to get there this May. Funding applications are in but storm season won’t wait. Every week we delay is a vital moment we can’t get back. Your donation will go directly to Trip 1 of 3 we require to make this feature. Donations will cover Trip 1’s crew fees, travel, accommodation and equipment. If you donate over €500, you’ll be personally credited in the finished film. So far in 2026, 28 anti-trans bills have passed in the US. These aren’t statistics. They’re the conditions of Raychel’s daily life. This film exists to change that. Link in bio to donate and learn more. Every contribution counts no matter how big or small! @whydonate_official
