「鷲(ㄐㄧㄡˋ)物會所」不單純只是一個「舊物」選品的諧音梗。以台灣常見的特有種「大冠鷲」作為連結 - 牠們自由的翱翔天際，便是你我腳下的土地健康無虞的象徵 - 期望鷲物會所成為永續生活的實踐場域。
The name tori (とり bird) is not only a reference to us scavenging for vintage treasures, but also an ode to the Taiwanese eagle native to the island. Their survival is an indication of the health of their environment. Tori Trading Post integrates this sustainable mindset into our business ethos of "Nothing wasted by design".

【餐具櫃的旅程】
從一位西雅圖藝術家的工作室接手，與鄰居一起扛回家，再細心清潔，最後跟著我們海運到台灣，這個1960年代在美國生產的實木與玻璃餐具櫃是這次搬家最大(也最頭痛）的傢俱了。
由美國高品質品牌Keller Furniture以美國黑胡桃木打造，呈現他們厚實耐用的工藝。這個由John Boukma設計的Dimension V系列有著簡約線條與一體成形雕刻手把等設計細節是經典的中世紀現代(mid-century modern)風格。

【回家】是什麼感覺？
在國外生活了十幾年，很多人都納悶我們為什麽要回來台灣。我們跟鄰居的婆婆客套的說，是為了多陪陪家人。然而我們心裡深知，這一次，是為自己闖一闖。
我們熱愛這個島嶼，他給了我們勇氣去創業。在這裡我們看到永續改變的可能性，也認識越來越多也是古物同好的回鄉人。在外面繞了一大圈，我們最後用不一樣的態度回到了家鄉，去嘗試一個或許不正規但非常有意義的人生。

People have asked us our reasons for returning to Taiwan, considering most people would love to chase the American Dream. To seem less like an oddball, we usually reply that it’s to spend more time with family, a half truth that’s easy for others to swallow. However, deep down we know that we are here to chase after a dream we’ve been slowly building together.
Our love for Taiwan has given us the courage to come back to our roots, to try and possibly make sustainable impacts within our community. After meeting a few passionate oddballs like us who have also gone against the current, we feel even more empowered to embark on this meaningful journey.
