I’ve never been photographed as much as I have in the last year. I finally get what you all mean when you ask what to do with your hands 🤭 To accompany this collection of my silly self, here are some fun facts about me + VIP: 1. I started Victoria Irene Photography (VIP if you’re fancy) back in 2016. I’ve lost count of how many weddings I’ve photographed, but it’s somewhere north of 175… which means I’ve eaten approximately 1000 cookies and danced to the cupid shuffle more times than I’ll admit.
 2. I have an obsession with all things vintage. Give me a project with a 1950s–1970s twist and I’m at my happiest. Most of the time this translates into styled fashion-centric photoshoots, but I also really love vintage interior design! 3. In a parallel universe, I’m an interior designer with a thriving side hustle flipping mid-century furniture. Styling my apartment is one of my favorite pastimes. 4. Feeding people might just be my love language. Cooking brings me so much joy and has been a fun way to explore my creativity outside of photography. I joke that it’s the Italian in me, but it truly does make me feel closer to my roots to nourish my relationships via delicious meals.
 5. Scorpio sun/Leo moon/Pisces rising, INFJ, Enneagram 1w2… basically: a soulful perfectionist with a poetic heart and a flair for the dramatics. But I don’t need a test to tell you that 😉 6. I love working remotely at local coffee shops. My go-to coffee order? Sparkling americano! HMU if you ever wanna co-work. 
 7. I’ll Let you guess my favorite colors. 8. My phone camera roll is 75% Junipurr (my cat), 10% food, 10% bugs/plants, and 5% selfies of my sister she took when I wasn’t looking. 9. I’m not above making a fool of myself to get a smile out of someone (see last pic) 10. If you’re into playful + vibrant photos (and have zero idea of what to do with your hands), we should talk.

Rae is a bottomless pit of creativity. She’s a skilled ceramicist and knitwear designer who often blends the two formats into the most beautiful (+ functional) works of art. What better way to feature her @novemberr.studios creations than in her element at home! 🐈🐈‍⬛

A brief interruption from gravity. Then back to business. DROPPING a few favorites from an impromptu 90s mob boss inspired creative photoshoot with @jb.w at @thehighlinepgh . Was it worth walking 2 miles in a foot of snow? I feel good about it 😉

Music is at the center of Poppy’s world. She plays guitar, is in a band, works in theater, and regularly goes to concerts and local shows. When asked what she loves most about herself, she shared that it is her relationship with music, and that answer became the emotional foundation of her senior portraits. We set up an outdoor studio at Churchill Valley Greenway this past fall, and it created the perfect scene for Poppy’s session. Together we created these stunning senior pics that gave a nod to Nick Drake and the passing of seasons. You can read more about Poppy’s session on the blog 🍂

To be honest, 2025 started with a breakdown and reconsidering whether or not I needed to move on from photography. Without getting into too much detail, the year looked very uncertain and a 9 to 5 very appealing. As I roll into year 10 of being a legitimate business, and out of my busiest year ever, I am thankful for the opportunity to do what I love. What a mistake it would have been to do anything else. This year brought so many new kinds of experiences and I am thankful for the fresh perspective. Most importantly, my appreciation for you all is overflowing. Thank you to my past and future clients-turned-friends, to my creative sounding boards, and to my photographer colleagues for trusting me as the wedding day 4th wheel 🤭 So, the stats - This year I found myself at 31 weddings… 33 if you wanna count one assisting and the wedding of my bestie 💍 I worked alongside 13 different wedding photographers 👯 Photographed 4 non-wedding events, including my favorite @glorydazepgh yet 🏍️ Photography took me to 7 states. 5 of those (+ Canada) were touring with @buffalorosemusic 🚐 Speaking of, Buffalo Rose released an album in September featuring images we created together 🎶 I photographed 9 studio sessions this year; that’s more than I ever have and I REALLY hope that number doubles in 2026⚡️ I became a creative ambassador at the @museumlabpgh and met some of the coolest creatives 🎨 I created imagery to help promote the Illuminate fashion show in collaboration with @create.art.together …and then photographed my first ever fashion show! 🎭 Stuck with my goal of sharing more blog posts and pressed “publish” 14 times 📝 The focus of 2026 will be on manifesting projects that are in alignment with my strengths. I’m hoping to see collaborations that involve more extensive styling, studio challenges, vintage flair, and (of course) connection. I’d also like to keep up with exploring personal style through my story fit checks, and overall do a better job at bringing you along for BTS shenanigans. 2026 is being welcomed with rejuvenation… and maybe even a bit of excitement for more (inevitable) unexpected twists 💚

I can’t believe it’s already time to reflect on 2025 and that I’m writing “a highlight of my year was...” This year flew by, but one thing I want to take a moment to be thankful for is my ambassadorship for the MuseumLab’s new Creative Membership program. Being a part of this vibrant community was, at the minimum, inspiring. I met so many artists, crafters, educators, and all around creative-minded humans open to growth and community. Bonus that the @museumlabpgh makes for the most beautiful playful textural backdrop of my dreams. @cat_burton is the mastermind behind this program, and is the point of contact if you wanna become a member yourself.
