I went to go find all the memories I got to capture with Becca and Grant from engagements to baby, but I got stuck scrolling through their wedding day! So I shared a few more of them on that day. Later last year, before I had my 4th, I would often have this bad attitude asking myself is this all I was made for?? To do the dishes, make the food, wash the clothes, stay up late to work, the list goes on. A woah is me attitude. I found myself asking “this is my life??” The Lord challenged me in my quiet time one day. “this is your life!!”. The same words but different punctuation, a different perspective. What a gift it is to have this life. It’s not an inconvenience, it’s my joy. Nothing has changed. I still do loads and loads of laundry. Meals still have to be made. Tantrums still have to be dealt with. The list goes on. But this is my life!! What a joy to hang out with my husband. What a gift to be a mom to my kids. What a treat to open my home to friends. What an honor to clean up the messes from a full day of life. THIS IS MY LIFE - thank you Jesus.
I have to come back to this thought daily. Many times a day. But thank you Jesus for Your grace and Your presence.
