The party is won over by the cleric’s enthusiasm who immediately starts directing everyone to stand at cardinal points around the outer circle. Saras begins chanting, a low murmur raising up to a shout that echoes in the cavern. Soon we realize the words don’t sound like her usual prayers. The language is different, something more intricate, something older. Saras seems to shift, or her skin does as hair no, fur starts growing. The disguise she’s been wearing since the beginning finally breaks under the great power brought forth from the ritual. Before we can bring up any questions there’s a resounding crack on the statue in the center. Crawling out from the shadowy depth within..a deer? No a faun a creature of the fey. She looks around and Saras bursts forward “Auntie!!!” A joyous reunion. Cleric Background Unlocked! They thank us profusely and lying at their feet is the shards of The Artifact™. Auntie Marble looks down, “oh, would you like this old thing? Go ahead, I’ve been holding it much too long to want anything to do with it anymore.
Well what next?
A/😮) the Artifact™ acquired! The jagged edge of the broken sword looks more intentional when closer inspected. Like a key…Maybe there’s a door around here…
B/😆) Saras looks at everyone. Thank you and I’m sorry for keeping this from you for so long but I didn’t know who to trust. There’s still more to do to reclaim our Clan’s seat. Sounds like a Quest™ and one into the fey realm!!

Thralia the rogue checks for traps around the cloak and platform. Which is good, because there were many. With deft hands she dismantles each one and the dwarf gets his sparkling garment.
You have acquired The Cloak of Stars™ ‘it will be sure to light your way or, do something cool I’m sure’.
Thralia’s keen eyes notices grooves in the floor near the platform and gets Braek to help. Together the two smallest (and strongest) members push the stone to reveal a set of crude stairs trailing down into, not quite darkness. A bit of light seems to coming form below, drawing is in. We curiously descend to reveal a huge cavern, within a ruined temple. In the center are strange swirls and half circles surrounding a decrepit angelic statue. Missing a head and half an arm, it is still holding a draped platter. And upon the platter…is it…could it be? A broken sword. Several members gasp and start excited talking. It quickly descends into an argument. Who takes action?

A/😡) The wizard is sure there are many arcane guards up protecting The Artifact™ so they show Dispel Magic and go in to inspect.
B/😮) the cleric is so excited she almost can’t get the words out. The ancient temple! The incomplete ritual! I know I know I know what do! To fulfill my clans wish!
C/😆)Braek, now sparkling, eyes the statue and it’s pretty white stone wings. What if we just touch it? He murmurs and no one pays him much attention.

Having trouble motivating myself to do the next prompt so I’m gonna add my own flavor based off this day 8: Cave system/ Torch.
We enter a cave to escape the rain. A light in the back drew us in away from the rain. A torch, ever burning. An opening reveals the cave continues deeper, into darkness the light doesn’t reach.
Do we:
A: take the torch and see what lies ahead
B: stay in the first room and try to make camp with what supplies we have left, or
C: venture back out to the elements we were trying to escape?
That’s right time for choose your own inkventure!
