Our Coburg North project finished last year. The brief of this home was to renovate this 1950’s post war double brick cottage with a heritage overlay to Passive House Standard, using as many local and low embodied carbon materials we could source to meet the strict requirements for certification.
This all electric, Certified EnerPhit Passive House features: Recycled bricks, Ceres Fair Wood Cypress Macrocarpa claddings, recycled Victorian hardwood floors, Durra Panel compressed straw panel wall linings, locally made hardwood windows and doors, Zehnder HRV, 7.3Kw Enphase Solar system, and an 8000L water tank servicing toilets and washing machine. The works to this house have resulted in an extremely comfortable and healthy home with an 80-90% reduction in its energy demand (and bills!) Thanks to the project team:
