Another successful GALA season capped by a gritty performance at CIF. Jules made the finals in all four of her events and even came home with a medal!!! Love to watch her swim, but even more, love to watch her as a teammate, a co-captain and a mentor. Beyond words proud of J! đź’śđź’śđź’ś
Happy Opening Day to those who celebrate from Walter. Game 1 didn’t go quite how he was hoping but thankfully there’s 161 more to go! #gocubsgo #eamuscatuli #walterthelandwalrus #baseball

Two months ago we lost my father;
since March 19th, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about being a child and being a parent and being a human and all that jazz.
I’ve come to realize that as kids we don’t see our parents as a 3-dimensional human being, but as you get older, your whole world changes when the truth of who your parents are settles in. They are human beings like you, full of complexities and just trying to find a moment of happiness for themselves while worrying about those they love.
And my relationship with my dad was no different. It took a long time for my dad and I to find our groove as father/son- ironic given the man made his living with the groove. But with time we built a genuine relationship of love, and caring and heartfelt affection - and really bad jokes - that is one of the greatest treasures in my life.
And while I now must live without my dad’s physical presence, I know he’s still here. He’s in me, and Susan and Jules and Melissa, and quite honestly, Richard will live on in every person he ever touched. I have no doubt that 30 years from now, the grandchildren of his friends are going to tell their friends about this guy, Mr. Brown, who they knew and some thing he did that stuck with them. And so, Richard Brown will live on.
Richard was a multifaceted man, a human being with his ups and his downs, his assets and his flaws. And frankly, that is the greatest lesson he ever taught me. None of us are perfect and if we try to be anything other than what we are, who we are at our core, then that’s just wasting this one precious life we’re given. And so, I honor my dad by choosing to be true to myself just like my dad. And when things are tough, I have no doubt I’ll hear that rumbling bass intone “Dave” as only he could, and it’ll be ok.

Hey @mlb your bias is showing...why not mention how dominate jtaillon50 was as he dominated the @yankees for the @Cubs ... oh right, because you are in the bag for the Yankees...#shame #gocubsgo #flythew #yankeessuck
Best meet of 2023…and really ever. After a slow (for her) start, J came roaring back; dropping time and setting FOUR PRs in the process!! Proud doesn’t even begin to scratch my feelings. J committed to something of her own choosing, puts in the damn work and continues to show up LIKE A BOSS. Yeah kid!

MITCH EXPERIENCE PT. 2… And now the food. Each plate arrived in a burst of color, adorned with the trappings of “modern cuisine” (i.e. foams and sauce smears and the like), but each bite quickly reassured that the kitchen was focused on flavors and creating complex BUT highly accessible plates that proved elevated but light years from pretension. But the real secret sauce is the joy emanating from the family that runs Mitch (including the namesake). They love what they do and they love to bring their diners into the fold. Despite our halting French, team Mitch never made us feel anything less than long time friends dining at their house. Merci à vous. And again, if you find yourself in Provence, please visit and enjoy!
