We first met Andrew Topa at the @weedmaps HQ in Irvine, California. My first impression of Topa was one of our cameramen asking if he could tail whip in the studio with a light hanging way too low over him. Without even thinking about it, he stomped on it. Morgan Wade (right) and Andrew Topa (left). Seriously some of the toughest dudes I've ever met. On this particular day they were going massive on the record BMX quarter pipe. Morgan had walked away from a few crashes and had these massive tennis ball size bumps on his elbows, when I praised him for still riding he looked at me like I was crazy and said something along the lines of, "this is normal." Andrew Topa on the other hand was going for the record flair as well but instead with stitches in his hand. After tearing the stitches clean he re-taped his hand back up and went back for more. Modern day gladiators putting their bodies on the line for what they love and for the fans entertainment. Pleasure watching you two that day. @texasmwade@topabmx
