10 years ago, I was never able to look at my own reflection because I hated what I saw. I started working out and instantly fell in love with fitness. Today I conquered one of my biggest childhood fears and walked on stage to display all my strengths and weaknesses for everyone to see. I’ve learned so many things about myself today, but most importantly, I learned how truly blessed I am. Half of the entire venue was filled with family and friends supporting what I love to do. I always wanted to be rich growing up, but have come to realize this is true wealth. I am so grateful to have such an amazing support system. We worked incredibly hard to make our special day happen, and we paid for what we believed would be a luxury wedding experience, but our experience did not reflect that.
To all the future brides and grooms, don’t trust so easily even when you think you’ve found your “dream venue.” Take the time to verify information from reliable local sources and advocate for yourselves throughout the entire planning process.
For the past 8 months, this has been an incredibly difficult situation for us, and we chose to keep it off social media while trying to handle things privately. At this point, we feel it’s important to share our experience. While this is not how we imagined starting our marriage, we are stronger and more resilient than ever.
We want to thank ABC10 for covering our story and allowing us to share our experience. While this has been an incredibly challenging time, we are focused on our court case, moving forward together and continuing to heal.
