Excited to share the final installation of the animation ‘Soft Gradient Beckons’ for Rival Consoles! This 11 x 20 meter piece features black ink monoprints on 112-gram translucent paper, each printed frame is a single cell of animation. The piece is supported by handmade copper piping structures. Instillation location @thebeamslondon 🙏This 10 month project was an absolute joy to create. A true meditation practice during these turbulent times. I’ll be offering limited original prints of sections from the piece, each accompanied by a video art piece of the animation loop. Details to follow soon. This motion portrait film of my good friend Stephen was made for his beautiful show Mesocosmos @robilantvoenagallery . For this piece I returned to a layering technique I first explored many years ago creating a music video for Mount Kimbie —this approach felt like the perfect way to reflect the layered nature of Stephen’s process, and the way life, community, and art are inseparably woven through it. After living so close to Stephen for years , making this piece didn’t feel like stepping into something new—it felt like a continuation of a conversation and a gentle drift back into the orbit of his Mesocosmos ✨💛✨

Finally catching up on last year:) I’ve always dreamed of visiting Patagonia so I tacked a trip on to the end of a job. These photos are from a solo hike around Lácar Lake with my Hasselblad. Beautiful little gnarly trees, the clearest water for a wild swim, wild horses and getting lost in the slightly sketchy communities along the way.. barely scratched the surface but totally unforgettable! ✨💚✨

Half way through my art residency at the @timebasedarts gallery. I can’t thank everyone there enough for bring me in.. it’s been such a game changer for me and really helped push my work forward in to new areas🌈 🌈Colour is here and man how scared of it I was. Can’t totally explain why but I was stuck in monotone. So I’ve made some shite along the way and the gallery space has relentlessly presented it to the outside world. It has made the learning curve way steeper and sharpened my taste I think. It reminds me of directing.. when showing a first edit to someone and suddenly cringing at the bits you always really knew were bad:) Anyway.. I’m not stopping now.. full steam ahead and please come to my show. A soundscape instillation with the amazing @hatis_noit and @danielbrandt_ will feature in it. Details will follow.
