We had to say the hardest goodbye to Helo Cat this week. 14 years of this gentle giant from a newborn kitten, to the sleepy old timer loafed on the sunny windowsill. Genuinely affectionate and a great source of cuddles to all - other cats, humans and anyone who came to visit. The deepest and most soothing purr, the squeakiest daily meow & the loudest ‘bengal-special’ howl on occasions he thought he needed to be heard (3am for instance).
Described on his vet card (when we took the litter for 1st jabs) as ‘Tiger with Ginger Ears’ he was eventually named Helo after a galant tv character. He lived up to his names and leaves nothing but good memories, he will be greatly missed.

When your mother plays a long game! For context: as a child I would always save my Easter eggs, much to the frustration of my siblings and Mum. They polished off their eggs within days, I however would leave my egg for weeks even a month or so. One year however this was too much temptation for my mum… but not wanting to be caught, she ate the back of the egg, carefully leaving the box in mint condition! Only discovered when i decided to dig in to my chocolate and found most of the egg missing. A fight broke out between me and my younger sisters and the guilty party had to own up to keep the peace. This Easter Mum came to stay, and brought eggs… very generous…this is my one that I have ONLY just opened… and it appears to have been started already. She’s a sneaky chocoholic but I love her!
It’s a Batman kind of day… @detrash.watch ‘s ‘Gotham Vigilante’ and vintage tee. Not sure where I sit in the Best Batman debate…. (Not seen Wilson), West is the OG obvs, Keaton was great, Kilmer had the jaw, Clooney was pretty good (but bat nipples), Bale was scary…. Batfleck and Battinson I never really got past the films enough to give them a chance!
…aaand relax. Last couple of weeks work have been a whirlwind of changes and challenges. Ultimately, we smashed it (with some help from amazing suppliers)… but damn I need a break. Taking on my resolution to see more of the countries I get to visit - Italian adventure time.
Also, Italian trains so far: way cheaper and nicer than the services back home!
An awesome delivery today from the extremely talented @kovacscompany . Almost too good to use … almost, I think it will have to be my new flight bag.
