We’re so excited to announce a surprise, last-minute dinner next Thursday, May 16th in our Oxalis Room, featuring with Erin Chave of Domaine Jean-Louis Chave. On the slopes of the iconic hill of Hermitage, Domaine Chave crafts some of the finest wines of the Northern Rhône. We invite you to join us for a rare opportunity to taste the Domaine's recently released 2021 vintage wines - plus some other selections - along with Erin Chave. In this small group setting, all guests will be seated together with Erin in Sorrel's Oxalis Room for a guided tasting and dining experience. We will be featuring the red and white wines of Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, along with a menu from Sorrel's chef team designed to compliment the wines. With only 12 seats up available, these tickets will go fast. Don’t miss out!

Setting up some wine pairings for the Oxalis Room tonight… guests were looking for French wine, and requested Champagne, Rosé, and Loire to be included. Decent lineup I think…

Tasting on the beautiful hill of Domaine de la Côte’s ‘La Côte’ vineyard, in the Westernmost reaches of the Sta Rita Hills. Later returning to the winery to sample the 2022 wines out of barrel. The 2022 Blooms Field is already gorgeous (the barrel I tasted was exclusively Calera selection, although they also have Mt Eden and Swan material planted)

This one deserves its own post. Arguably the most important wine Stolpman makes. La Cuadrilla is named for the vineyard team, who are employed year round (incredibly commendable!) They not only get to make decisions in the vineyard for this wine, but the profits of its sales go to them.

Wild stuff at Stolpman Vineyard, own rooted Syrah taken from pre-clonal Serine selections from August Clape, propagated via provignage! Inspiring to see the dedication to both the vineyard as well as their crew
