🐾 LA FERME DES ANIMAUX VERSION 2026 : UNE CLAQUE POLITIQUE 🐕‍🦺 Je viens de plonger dans La Fourrière des animaux (Animal Pound) de Tom King @tomking_tk , Peter Gross @petergrossart , @tamra.bonvillain et Gabriel H Walta publié chez @paninicomicsfrance , et le moins qu'on puisse dire, c'est que le voyage est aussi brillant que glacial. ❄️ King ne se contente pas de déplacer le récit d'Orwell dans une fourrière municipale américaine ; il dissèque avec une précision chirurgicale comment une utopie née du sang et de l'espoir peut redevenir une prison, parfois pire que la précédente. 📖 L'intrigue en bref : À la fourrière de Manfield, le vieux chien Lucky lance un dernier appel à la révolte avant de mourir. Les animaux s'unissent, chassent les humains et instaurent leur propre démocratie. Mais entre les chiens qui veulent l'ordre, les chats qui cherchent leur indépendance et les lapins qui tentent juste de survivre, le rêve de "liberté" va vite se heurter à la réalité du pouvoir. ✨ Ce qui m’a marqué : Un miroir féroce : L'ouvrage pose une question qui fait mal : "Que devient une société lorsqu'elle perd le tyran qui la contrôle ?". Le cycle éternel : On voit défiler les mandats de Titan (le doberman), Fifi (la chatte) et Rascal (le beagle). Chaque "progrès" semble porter en lui les germes d'une nouvelle oppression. La trahison par l'image : J'ai adoré l'idée des animaux qui utilisent les réseaux sociaux et les caméras pour séduire les humains et obtenir de la nourriture, recréant une forme de dépendance volontaire. ⚠️ LES BÉMOLS : Une lecture qui pèse : C'est sombre, très sombre. Si vous cherchez de l'action ou de l'espoir, passez votre chemin. C'est un récit pessimiste où "tout change pour que rien ne change". L'esthétique : Le trait de Peter Gross est cru, presque aride, ce qui colle parfaitement à l'ambiance de "béton encrassé" de la fourrière, mais pourra en rebuter certains. En résumé : Un remake magistral qui prouve que l'homme n'est pas le seul responsable de la cage... c'est parfois le système lui-même qui verrouille la porte. RIP to a comic legend and one of my writing heroes, Gerry Conway. Or as Stan Lee called the kid who somehow captured (and evolved) so much of Stan’s particular magic, Merry Gerry Conway. Gerry brought such humanity to his work, using super heroes to tell emotional stories of love, loss, and triumph—all without losing that fundamental energy and absurdity that still makes a good super hero story a really damn good super hero story. I spoke to him in depth of all of once. I was using his Black Spider for a thing and called him to talk about it. He didn’t really care about Black Spider. We instead talked about his time as a kid writing romance comics while knowing nothing about romance and his days figuring out Law and Order twists while not strictly understanding law and order. He talked about finding the tension in a character, the contradiction between who they are and who they want to be, that without a writer elucidating that struggle, what was the point of a hero? He was generous and kind and funny and patient cool. I’m not sure he was merry, but a myth maker will exaggerate from time to time. I’m grateful for his words and work. I remain inspired.
