Grateful for the chance to make new friends and work with wonderful artists last weekend @the_cimf presenting 'Mappa' by @fionahill_composer and @mirriwhn at the @nfsaonline . A really special project joining musicians form Canberra with @ensemble_contrechamps from Switzerland. (And a real treat to play with amazing saxophonist Pierre-Stephane Meuge). Big thanks to all involved!

Mappa @ MOSSO: music in motion Saturday 2 May, 2026 3:15PM at the National Film & Sound Archive @nfsaonline Tom Fell, a saxophonist, educator, and conductor, will be performing in Mappa, as part of the Canberra International Music Festival. Weaving sound, movement and ancient craft traditions, Mappa unfolds as a shared space between art and audience; a world where sound, movement and material are woven into a living map. An immersive collaboration led by Fiona Hill and Miranda Wheen, Mappa unites artists from Ensemble Contrechamps (Geneva), Western Sydney, and Canberra in a constantly shifting landscape of improvisation, gesture and making. Tickets are available at the link in bio.

Huge congratulations to my mum @judeuff and our cousin @libby.hathorn on the launch of their new book 'This Is Us: Essential Australian Poems for Young People', published by @nationallibraryaus with beautiful illustrations by Tull Suwannakit. These two have been tireless advocates for children’s literacy, and this book is a wonderful achievement that will be treasured by many. Find it in your local bookstore!

Pumping out Farnsey inside one of the southern hemisphere’s biggest instruments… only in Canberra 😅🎷🔔 Honoured to play with the Parillax Trio for the National Carillon’s 55th anniversary. Featuring Veronica Bailey (marimba) and Thomas Laue (carillon). An hour of Australian music including four specially commissioned pieces.

Excited to be bringing the soprano sax to Geoff’s Jazz at @smiths.alternative on Tuesday 1st of October 🎷✨ Always such a pleasure to play for Geoff Page's long-running series, and this one is extra special with such a fantastic band alongside me: Steve Barry (piano), Chris Pound (bass), and Nicholas McBride (drums). We’ll be celebrating music by Wayne Shorter, Coltrane, Jane Ira Bloom and more, plus some of my own original compositions. Link to tix in bio.
