Hello - anyone want a countryhousesit getaway in Castlemaine July 12-21 (or any dates therein? You'd get to snuggle this idiot (@nigella.doggess 24/7 .... ) . While she's always been great with kids and mostly good with other dogs, it'd be best suited for someone who was planning on coming without either.
But also, our place is great, and this dog is THE BEST.
This afternoon I'll be hosting Process Lab: The Opening Act at my beloved place of work, The Channel ( @artscentremelbourne )
The event is looking at how musicians can pitch for, book, and make the most out of opening slots to build their career.
In preparation for it I've been reflecting on how opening for (and being mentored by) @amandapalmer / @dresdendolls really shaped my bizarre career from theatre nerd to cabaret nerd to musician to producer to a mentor myself and to my current gig as a Creative Producer.
I'll be joined by an amazing line up, musical guest @savagedrinks , @millylala , Dan Fabris from @apraamcos and Susan Forrester (also from ACM, an amazing artist in her own right and formerly of Big Day Out).

I have thought I was an organ donor for the whole 20 years I've been driving, because I had ticked a box when I got my licence. Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't?
Now I am DEFINITELY a card-carrying organ donor and the form took literally less that a minute to fill out. Please take that minute if you're able.
I heard a radio interview recently with the family of someone who had gone through an assisted dying program with stage 4 cancer. Their (unaffected) organs saved five separate lives.
What a simple and amazing thing to do with a < 1 minute administrative task.

I really do have my dream job as a Creative Producer at The Channel (@artscentremelbourne ). Today I taught music making to young peeps, tomorrow it's theatre making and yesterday I had to be a test model for @moon_age while she tested some lights.
Then on Thursday it's Art GPT, then Fri and Sat working for two days in the studio helping teens make their first demo. So. Much. Fun.
