first time on the top step! 👀 when I raced as a kid, the one thing I was never able to do in this sport was get a win. after 17 years off the bike, I picked one up this winter with one specific goal: do what I couldn’t do back then.
here i am, 6 races in and I finally got my first race win and took the overall win with a 1-2. It might seem like a small thing, but anyone who knows this sport knows it’s one heck of a grind even in the sandbagger c class.
thanks to @jeremyrichmond@crichmond23 for getting me back into it
SoCal makes it tough to leave that’s for sure. surf contests you stumble into, morning boardwalk runs, coffee by the beach, a @slightlychoppy studio session, and never once needing to check the weather. kinda checks all the boxes
ALL IN is your Day One Calcutta Winner!! Congratulations to the Captain & Crew who are looking to weigh in another monster today! We now have 6 boats looking to weigh in today 👀
