Tomorrow marks 80 years since the U.S. dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
In a city long defined by remembrance and peace, a small group has broken the silence. Since October 2023, the Hiroshima Palestine Vigil has gathered regularly at the Atomic Bomb Dome to mourn the genocide in Gaza and demand an end to Japanese complicity.
Their message is simple but urgent: Peace means nothing without justice. Remembrance means nothing if we refuse to see.

If you order food from Wolt, Uber Eats, deliveroo etc did you know thereâs a chance the person who brought it to your door is on less than minimum wage or might not even have been paid?
Many of these companies operate through shady subcontracting setups designed to separate them from liability.
âFleet partnersâ often charge illegal onboarding fees of up to âŹ500, skim wages, and pay workers in cash. Riders are routinely left without payslips, proper contracts, or any legal documentation of what theyâve earned, making it nearly impossible to file a claim later. And sometimes they just donât pay at all.
