Touching down in Tampa always brings me back to the same truth: some stories are worth returning to. The Ryan Callahan Foundation (@ryancallahanfdn ) is one of them. Year after year, I’ve watched Ryan and Kyla show families facing pediatric cancer that they’re not alone - and that kind of heart leaves a mark.

Last year’s Gold Rush Gala at Armature Works in Downtown Tampa was one for the books: custom cowboy hats, gem mining, axe throwing, cattle roping, sheriffs patrolling the dance floor. …and don’t forget the cowbell. More cowbell. But the real gold was the compassion in that room. Truly palpable.

This year’s Night of Dreams Gala is on deck, and I’m thrilled to document the next chapter.

Hygge (pronounced “hoo ga”) is a Nordic term for a mood that embodies coziness, contentment and all things fuzzy + chill. My hygge came at Lazy Acre Alpaca Farm (@lazyacrealpacas ) on a brisk but sunny fall morning - creating portraits for a fashion spread that would ultimately land on the cover of the current issue of @585mag ✨🙌

I had a blast working on this latest issue. In addition to my time on the Alpaca farm, I photographed a visionary chef and his restaurant, visited the weed warehouse and even contributed writing to a collaboration piece with my fellow (585) photographers. We wrote on our go-to cocktails and where we go to enjoy them 🍷🍸🍹

2026 has been marked by a series of experiences that would leave my 9-year old self saying “Nuh Uh!”. Like that time when Kerri Green and Corey Feldman came to town for a screening and discussion on THE GOONIES!!
I was 9 years old when that film came out. It was an institution. Seeing it again up on the big screen was like a time capsule for me. Every line. So many memories.
Kerri and Corey participated in a lengthy discussion afterwards; telling stories about the making of the film, the environment in Hollywood at the time, casting, Stephen Spielberg, etc. They were revealing, engaging and charming together onstage ✨
Our time working together afterwards was much the same. They were generous with their time and kind to everyone. Gems, the both of them 💎

All too often, this job hands me moments that stop me in my tracks. Living in the town that Kodak built. Making a living with the craft that Kodak made possible. That alone is borderline surreal. But landing the cover of (585) Magazine’s FILM ISSUE with a collage of photographs that I made inside Eastman Museum’s top secret nitrate vault? That’s a full-circle pinch me kinda magic moment.
Walking into that vault felt like stepping inside of a real-life time machine. Every tin held the heartbeat of a bygone era. …and when I got the okay to hold the original nitrate reels of The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind, I was pretty sure that my teenage grandparents entered the room nodding in approval. Gahhh. Gives me the chills ✨
