“In Search Of…” (Old Police Station, Lark Lane, 9.8.25) The Sight Is A Wound, a six-minute video-poem, flickered on crumbling brick, a funeral for the image: 50 paintings consumed by flame, a ritual of collapse and refusal in the face of genocide’s visual saturation. Beside this act of un-making, a table bore drawings by Gazan children, small worlds drawn under fire, tanks, birds, gardens that might grow if the world looked differently. Two visual testimonies, side by side: one erasing its own image, the other insisting on being seen. Open 12-5pm In the meantime here is some documentation of our last exhibition Account Not Recognised, which was a show about slow time and documentation. Sit a while with these images and let your own time slow down 🌬️

Account not recognised, a @ghost_art_school exhibition at @birch.studios.gallery - open tomorrow and Saturday from around 12pm until 4/5pm. A show about protest, in many forms and outcomes. Pictured is a boat donated to @tuebrook_caf community garden at L7 0LD, built by @paulinakolar . A print of words shared by @leanintoleen carried folded in a wallet for a while, reaffirming what it means to be alive and fighting for the right to live on the land you were born. Photographs of a protest at what used to be an Elbit Systems site in Tamworth, now closed and vowing to never work with the military again, along with the police looking confused at a local picket. And a text piece by @ka_re_ma_ “Dear Moon, The war has sto…” Featured artists: @ka_re_ma_ @rory.macbeth @tom_doubtfire @tmklly @han_as_in_solo , Sophie-Marie Braune, @blob.work @lilik.lile , Xueying Zhang and Jung Xu. What a gorgeous night with our 10-12 age group ❤️ making Mother’s Day Cards 💗 the messages and pictures was gorgeous 💗 @tom_doubtfire thank you so much for volunteering with the kids doing art 💗 what you done was amazing, asking them all 5 things that they thought of when they thought of AHFO and then get them to act them out 🩵 they choose Community Fundraising Friendship Food Club Fun but learning at the same time We then asked them to all to write words what AHFO meant to them 🩵 and asked them to explain why Fun, Loyal, Friendship, Kind, Happy, Community was just some of the gorgeous words used by these children 🩵 The 2 that stuck out for me was HOPE by Jacob age 10 we asked why Hope, he said he had hope that the rest of the city would start to be like AHFO 🩵 Lovely and Kind by Jake age 11, we asked why he said because when something happens to you they always have your back 🩵 Save to say our kids are learning our values even at such a young age 🩵 thank you kids X Thank you to our gorgeous Christine for making the best sausage rolls, macaroni cheese and smoothies 👏 all when she is going through her own personal struggles X thank you Chris 🩵 @penman.christine

Was great to continue the story of Gefaer?! and experiment with it being a walkthrough with audio and a voice over by @deadmandanielfiesta

Made this today using flowers and plants from the park I grew up in!

An installation set up as part of a crit at Ljmu with masters students and friends. It was said I had created an active workspace, which automatically made you think about the character who’d use the space. And that it reminded someone of the drawings of Lebbeus Woods. This brought my attention back to think about the leftovers of weapons factories destroyed with bare hands and sledgehammers, and the more useful things people could be doing with the materials and energy spent on making war.

3/3 - Documentation of some art shown at Mullard Space Science Lab with Ghost Art School. We were each asked to lay out a smaller object representing the work we had installed. I brought Ella’s architectural piece of a scanned CPR face mask and paired this with a photograph of my grandpa’s paper mache sculpture (one of many permanently on display at St Peter’s Church, Mansfield) along with a small 3d sculpture of my own made using a 3d pen. The other experimental paintings, made on the insides of old iPhone screens, I displayed alongside some real life space junk.

2/3 - Documentation of some art shown at Mullard Space Science Lab with Ghost Art School. Continuing with the Roots installation shown previously at Plush Liverpool, it was interesting to pair some tiny sculptures made up of found objects from about liverpool combined with the roots structure. The mini found objects have been pieced together simply by hand and can be seen here being pulled from the earth through the roots.

1/3 - Documentation of some art shown at Mullard Space Science Lab with Ghost Art School. Was boss to take down some new sculptures I’ve been welding based on one of my own drawings. The sculptures have been welded using remains from car wheels that seem to keep appearing as I cycle about liverpool. Slowly learning how to work with metal as I test out scaling up this drawing.

❌ The Sewer ❌ On their nightly patrol of the sewer grounds, everything seems to be as usual. Just as they are about to call it a night, they hear a loud rumble and all of a sudden a glowing blue substance is shining through the cracks of the sewers internal walls. They move closer to inspect, but are thrown backwards onto the floor as what feels like a strong gust of wind pushes them. Confused and dazed, they gather their things, check in on eachother and stand quickly ready to defend themselves ⚔️ What they see is like nothing they have seen before. Rather than wind, they were thrust by what appears to be roots that have spread everywhere, reaching from the ground to the ceiling walls. The roots are translucent and oozing light. Whatever this is, they must act quick and alert everyone else of this latest occurrence 🚨 Comic Drawn & Story Written by @tom_doubtfire 📸 ~ @joenoseph
