Du kamst mit 10 Wochen zu uns, deiner zweiten Familie. Zwei Wochen, nachdem wir unsere erste eigene Wohnung bezogen hatten. Einen Tho & Yvi Haushalt ohne dich gab es nicht. Fast 16 Jahre lang. Jetzt ist das Haus leer ohne deine Tapser auf dem Parkett. Ohne dein Bellen, aus dessen Tonlage man hören konnte, wer zu Besuch kommt. Ohne das Gefühl deiner weichen Ohren unter meinen Fingern. Jetzt lebst du nur noch in unseren Erinnerungen. Und dort bist du unsterblich. Wir werden nie vergessen, wie du in deinem ersten Winter beim Herumsausen immer die Abkürzung über den gefrorenen Brunnen genommen hast - und dann im Frühling wie eine Cartoonfigur mitten im Sprung reingefallen bist. Seitdem hast du wie eine Katzendiva sogar um Pfützen einen Bogen gemacht. Wir sehen immer noch die vielen kleinen Büschel aus deinem Puschelschwanz im Stacheldraht hängen, weil du dich beim Spielen auf dem Feld immer drunter durch gezwängt hast. Wir hören immer noch, wie du vom Spaziergang mit deinen Hundefreunden zurück kamst - und sofort bellend auf die andere Seite des Gartenzauns gesaust bist, um sie von DEINEM Grundstück fernzuhalten. Wir lachen immer noch, weil du in den Herbstfeldern wie eine Gemse mit Sprungfedern zwischen den Ähren hochgesprungen bist, wenn du auf Mäusejagd warst. Wir riechen immer noch, wie die Dusche gestunken hat, nachdem du dich im Magen eines toten Tiers gesuhlt hattest - und wie schlank du nass ohne dein plüschiges Fell immer warst. Du hattest ein gutes, glückliches, langes Leben. Und du hast uns mehr Glück geschenkt als wir geahnt hätten. Die Dankbarkeit hilft uns durch den Schmerz, dich gehen zu lassen. Back from the Cannes Filmfestival and the March‘e du Film for a week now. What an experience 🤩 This is now officially one of my favourite times of the year - only second to christmas. Since people were asking and our mobile phones are working again - yes we were hit by the flood, but we are healthy! We lost our car, our office and parts of our house. We don’t have electricity and are not allowed to drink tap water. But however hard you think you are hit - the people next door might need even more help. Even we are giving surplus water to the next and helping each other. Yesterday some kids were running around giving morning coffee to everyone - made my day :)
