We are happy to let you know that on May 11, 2026, the Tolerance Poster Show opened in Pljevlja, Montenegro, marking the third presentation of the exhibition in the country. Although our gathering was originally planned for May 9th, Victory Day over Fascism and Europe Day, adverse weather conditions forced us to postpone the opening by two days. The show was presented at the city square in the center of Pljevlja, where citizens, students, artists, and visitors gathered around messages of tolerance, inclusion, and understanding communicated through the universal language of design. The creation of the Pljevlja edition of the Tolerance Poster Show was led by Aleksandar Ostojić, Director of the PI Art Gallery “Vitomir Srbljanović,” with support from Srđa Dragović and Flux Design Network. The opening ceremony included speeches by Aleksandar Ostojić and Jelena Bojović, curator of the Yugoslav Museum of Humor and Satire, who also spoke about Mirko Ilić’s important donation of rare international satirical publications, books, and magazines to the museum in Pljevlja. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to bringing the Tolerance Poster Show to Pljevlja, especially Srđa Dragović, without whose help this show could not have been realized. #TolerancePosterShow #ToleranceProject #tolerance #Pljevlja #Montenegro

We are pleased to let you know that on April 20, 2026, the University of Wyoming(UW) hosted the Tolerance Project. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains in Laramie, UW is the academic and cultural hub for the state. Over 100 posters were exhibited in several buildings around campus, including in the Coe Library, the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts, the Honors College, the Classroom Building, the Enzi STEM Building, and the College of Business. The exhibition also featured work by local artist Rose Gardner. The show was made possible by three student organizations: Hillel, the Middle Eastern and North African Cultural Club, and the United Multicultural Council. We would like to thank their respective presidents, Nathan Corley, Arielle Coleman, and Jasmin Mahoney, as well as a special thanks to Hillel faculty advisor Stephanie Anderson, for organizing and curating the exhibition. Special thanks also to Erin Brorsen, Camila Gomes, and Allyson Rocco. #TolerancePosterShow #ToleranceProject #tolerance #UniversityofWyoming #Wyoming

The exhibition is hosted by the Public Institution Art Gallery “Vitomir Srbljanović”. The show is featured at the Main City Square (13th July Sq.) within the open-air gallery. We are pleased to let you know that on May 1st, the Tolerance Poster Show opened on the terrace of Gallery “Serdika,” located in the heart of one of the most visited markets in Sofia, the Zhenski Pasar or “Women’s Market.” The Gallery “Serdika” is a contemporary art gallery with an emphasis on socially conscious and youth art. The “Women’s Market,” besides being a lively commercial hub, is also characterized by its multicultural diversity—a meeting point of various social and ethnic groups, ranging from marginalized communities to newly emerging avant-garde gallery spaces. In this sense, it is an environment that fully resonates with the messages of the international poster initiative “Tolerance.” The exhibition can be viewed until July 1, 2026. The present event marks the fifth presentation in Sofia of different posters from the Tolerance Project’s collection. All these shows were organized by the International Triennial of Stage Poster - Sofia Co-Founder Albena Spasova, and we thank her again for her relentless effort in spreading Tolerance in Bulgaria. #Sofia #TolerancePosterShow #ToleranceProject #tolerance #posters

We are pleased to let you know that on April 10th, we hosted the opening reception of the Tolerance Poster Show, featuring exhibits throughout galleries and businesses in Blacksburg, Virginia. The exhibitions are open through the end of April 2026. The primary installations were at the Blacksburg Museum’s gallery at the Alexander Black House, thanks to Gallery Director Diana Francis; Bird Block Studios, thanks to Rude Graves; Miller Off Main St. Galleries, thanks to Gallery Director Pippi Miller and Jolie Boucher; the Lyric Theater, thanks to Executive Director Seth Davis; and XYZ Art Gallery, thanks to XYZ Student President Caitlin Celio and XYZ Faculty Advisor Amanda Lechner, with artwork installed by students in Meaghan Dee’s Advanced Typography class. The Tolerance Poster Show was coordinated by Meaghan Dee, but would not have been possible without the tremendous support of the gallery and business owners, as well as her students, who helped curate the show. Rachael Paine also contributed funding toward printing expenses, and Dr. Ann-Marie Knoblauch contributed funding to support the reception. Businesses around town also displayed posters from the collection, including Benny’s Pizza, Blacksburg Farmer’s Market, Blacksburg no 1, Bollos, Bonnie Charlotte’s Plant Shop, Book Holders, Fringe Benefit, Gillies, Live Wire Tattoo, New River Art & Fiber, Nice Dreams, Sugar Magnolia, and UPS. Additional activities included screenprinting by Jordan Lingenfelser (design by Max Mohberg) at Bird Block Studios and a student-designed installation at XYZ Galleries (Lexy Altieri, Abigail Bollinger, Sydney Buckler, Zac Claybrook, Shreya Deshpande, Cailin Flatla, Brooke Geller, Maggie Hanlon, Emily Hoppenjans, Tommy Janay, Lucia Lazarte, Kelsey Lee, Nora McMahon, Max Mohberg, Sara Olsen, Anna Seaton, Noah Settle, Indie Viriyakul, Gabrielle Warder, and Will Zabriskie). #TolerancePosterShow #LyricTheater #BlackHouseandCulturalCenter #BirdBlockStudio #XYZArtGallery

We are pleased to let you know that on Thursday, March 26, 2026, we held our second one-day pop-up show in Union Square Park, New York City, featuring over 100 Tolerance Posters. The show is our eighth in New York City since 2022. Unfortunately, due to strong winds and out of consideration for pedestrians, we had to shorten the show toward the end of the day. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Denise Benmosche, Board Member of the Tolerance Project Inc., and the Benmosche family, who made this show possible. #TolerancePosterShow #ToleranceProject #UnionSquare #NewYorkCity #tolerance

We are pleased to let you know that on February 25, a new Tolerance Poster Show opened in Sofia, Bulgaria, on the fence of the National High School of Applied Arts “St. Luka.” The present event marks the third presentation in Sofia of different posters from the Tolerance Project’s collection. The first exhibition, featuring 70 posters, marked Sofia’s Day – September 17, and remained on display until November 1, 2025. The second exhibition opened on the fence of the National School of Music on Sofia’s iconic Oborishte Street on December 5. However, on Saturday, December 13, the organizer of the Tolerance exhibition received indications that some parents had filed complaints with the principal of the Music School. On the evening of Monday, December 15, parents tore off four panels they considered problematic. All four billboards contained posters with rainbow colors. By the morning of Tuesday, December 16, the principal ordered the removal of the entire exhibition. Show organizer and International Triennial of Stage Poster - Sofia Co-Founder Albena Spasova almost immediately found a new home for the exhibition at the National High School of Applied Arts “St. Luka.” The new exhibition consists of around 30 Tolerance Posters lining the pavement along the outside of the schoolyard. The show will be open until April 30th. To avoid conflict with the surrounding communities, the four posters that had been considered problematic by the parents and the National School of Music were displayed inside the school. The new show also included a lecture on March 9th by Albena Spasova, who spoke to students about the Tolerance Poster collection and the duty of artists to make their communities better through their work. Special thanks to the director of the National High School of Applied Arts “St. Luka”, Ralitsa Karapanteva, for inviting the Tolerance Project into her school. #Sofia #TolerancePosterShow #ToleranceProject #tolerance #posters

As a part of the new show in front of NGPI St. Luke, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Albena Spasova, co-founder of the International Triennial of Stage Poster - Sofia, held a lecture showing, among others, Tolerance Posters that were not displayed at the school because of space limitations. Spasova also spoke about the mission of art — and of the poster in particular — to defend just causes, to shape public attitudes, and to cultivate civic intolerance toward all forms of violence and violations of human dignity. The lecture was held on March 9th for students from the Advertising Design and Metal departments. Albena Spasova, in 1994, cofounded the International Triennial of Stage Poster - Sofia. Today, it is the only international platform focusing on stage posters and their myriad incarnations. Special thanks to Ralitsa Karapanteva, the director of the National High School of Applied Arts “St. Luka” (NGPI St. Luke), and Albena Spasova, for organizing this event. #TolerancePosterShow #NGPIStLuke #InternationalTriennialofStagePoster #ToleranceProject
