We are excited to welcome Olympic rhythmic gymnast turned Broadway dancer, 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 as our first guest instructor! Her intensive is from 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟓-𝟏𝟗. We are also thrilled to welcome Cleveland Ballet professional ballet dancer, 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨! His intensive is from 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟐-𝟐𝟔. 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 are for 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝟒-𝟕 and 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 are for 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝟐.𝟓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟑. Students who are not enrolled at Toledo Ballet are welcome to attend. 𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐎 𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄! Take your training to the next level with Cleveland Ballet dancer Johan Mancebo at our Summer Dance Intensive, June 22-26. Do not miss this incredible opportunity. Johan Mancebo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and began his dance training in 2006. He became a part of the inaugural class of male dancers to graduate from the National School of Ballet of the Dominican Republic in 2015. During his training from 2013 to 2015, Johan secured an apprenticeship with the Dominican National Ballet. In November 2014, he was invited to perform Septime Webre’s “Alice in Wonderland” with CODA21 in Puerto Rico, and shortly thereafter, in January 2015, he joined The Washington Ballet Studio Company, also under Webre’s direction. Johan has since danced with prestigious companies such as Ballet de Cámara de Madrid and Sibiu Ballet Theater in Romania. In 2023, he joined the Cleveland Ballet, where he has taken on soloist and principal roles, including Don José in “Gladisa,” Jean de Brienne in “Raymonda,” the Cavalier in “The Nutcracker,” and both Raven and Bluebird in “The Sleeping Beauty,” among many other notable performances. Johan holds a Degree in Pedagogy of Classical Dance: Cuban Method and won the Interpretation Award of his generation at Instituto Universitario de Danza Alicia Alonso, King Juan Carlos University, Spain. 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒, 𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐒𝐋! 𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐒𝐋 𝐊𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐓 is a homeschooled senior who has been dancing at Toledo Ballet for 3 years. Her favorite memory is performing the role of Snow White and dancing alongside four of her siblings, a truly special experience. This fall, Liesl will attend Nashville Ballet as she begins her next chapter. She hopes to make a career in ballet and eventually open her own dance studio.
