This video was filmed like 2 months ago while I was doing a 5 minute lighting validation for cirque dreams (is this light good? Yes? Okay next)
On tour, there often isn't a lot of time to train super seriously. However for me the relief is that by performing an act constantly, under the pressure of an audience, whenever I get to go back to training it feels easy.
Sometimes I never truly feel comfortable or ready to perform until it's already been performed. After a number of shows the tricks become almost nuanced or even quiet. The stress over the training calms down and all that's left is funky town low quality fish 10 hr loop

Over 2 months I did ~150 shows! In the street, I found attention spans to be short and the sun to be hot; So each show was only ~15 minutes. Then I'd wait 15 minutes, and just do another show
Attached also is the 100 year old Amish goat wagon I used to tow my props around, and a haunting Polaroid someone took of me right before a show
My version of a flaming Rola Bola! Why not set the whole thing into flames? Interestingly, because we placed the fire source directly under me, the boards themselves defended me from the fire! Biggest downside is it does NOT defend from the fumes 🙊
This was invented and performed for the Not Dead Yet show at the Colorado renfaire. This stunt was a resounding success! If it weren't for the part where it sends a flaming cube out the back I would probably perform it more often.

Rola Bola 3 stack w/ a table cloth pull. This stunt was never intended to succeed! It was put into an Improv show called Not Dead Yet as a stunt that was near guaranteed to fail.
If a performer is doing a great job, auidences almost never really get to see what a true failure looks like. I'll never want to put something on stage that I'm not confident of landing, let alone a stunt that- in our minimal practices- never ONCE actually worked! Of course we told the audience that during the setup which gave them a lovely impending sense of doom.
We attempted this stunt 4 times in front of an audience with a total success rate of 25%
(psa do not ACTUALLY endanger yourself in front of an audience. My confidence in this stunt is that I was certain I would fall out of it safely)

If you've seen me perform in the last 2 years, you've almost certainly witnessed this trick! This video is basically just an extended version of what's in my Demo Reel (like in bio 😉) but I realized I never posted it on here.
This act is something I love to perform, it gets the audience riled up in such a chaotically resounding way.
I always place it fairly early in my 30 minutes show as a way to train the audience to be engaged and responsive for the rest of the show! In most cases, there's ~a 4 minute build up for a trick that lasts approximately 0.7 seconds 🫣
